  • This was a right banger. It was fun, simple and yet challenging enough that I was not bored. There were a few parts that I found difficult and the screen changing back and forth rapidly when engaging/disengaging the magnet made me a bit queasy. Despite that it was one of the most fun games from the jam and I hope to see a full release! Though, that penguin looks like it needs a name!

  • cute character and funny animations!
  • wow, the screenshake is too much :) For something which can continously be triggered it needs to be more suttle. Also when screenshaking for a bit longer, the game laggs heavliy (played on the playdate simulator)
  • Ah where are the sfx when picking up coins? :)
  • Also I miss funny music which fits the world, I think because it has funny level object which are bouncing, I'm missing the music all the more!
  • Nice and long level, with revisiting of different areas!
  • I got stuck at the left part before the FIN, I could only look at it :( When I wanted to go back I couldn't figure out how to get back again.
  • Maybe you could try to make moving during attraction possible could make more smooth. Now often it's hit attract, move a bit, hit attract, move a bit, feels a bit clunky.
  • Love it, this would be so charming and funny. Please keep working on it and release it :D

Very cute! Adding background music would certainly enhance the experience. The shake effect feels too intense, especially after a fall. The direction changes can be overly precise at times, and I got stuck the first time I played... but overhall great job, I'll stay tuned for future update!

Very fun puzzle platformer!  Besides the lag between screens I didn't experience too many issues, although some of the level design felt a bit frustrating at times.  It can feel a bit stiff at times too, since your horizontal speed (or vertical speed) is completely locked when magnet-ing. Definitely has some interesting movement that I'd love to see explored more.  Particularly, I'd love to be able to point the magnet down and shoot myself into the air with b.   The metroidvania-esque level design was also interesting, although I wasn't as much a fan of having to guess when a metal platform existed on the screen above me.  Maybe some sort of indicator could be nice.  I think  if the movement was loosened up a bit and a few more mechanics were added it could be a really compelling game!

Thanks for the feedback! There were definitely a lot of ideas I was playing around with, such as enemies that can be moved with magnets and having limited magnet power duration that would be upgraded as the game went on, but I hadn’t thought of launching with the magnet, that’d be interesting! And yeah, good point on it’s hard to know if there is metal on later screens or not. I played around with visualizing some sort of magnet field (like moving arrows or something) but agree that finding a way to make that more obvious will be helpful.

Definitely a few bugs here and there, a bit of lag moving between screens on device (probably bc I’m using too many sprites, and I ran out of time for making sound/music, but I hope you enjoy and look forward to feedback!
