I definitely didn’t expect text instead of actual racing, but it was still interesting to observe the progress of the race, wondering whether you will win.

But it’s not long until the game (ironically, because it’s about racing) starts to feel a bit slow and repetitive. It gets annoying to smash Z so many times to find out the result. Maybe you could add a way to skip dialogues faster or just get race result immediately.

That said, I like the graphics in this game and it’s fun to purchase upgrades for your car (even though I often can’t tell if anything improved because you aren’t actually racing yourself).

And it seems like the game is pretty long, since I haven’t even gotten past the D class (and I was playing for like an hour). So pretty impressive, considering the time limit. A few improvements to the gameplay, and it could be a really nice “racing” game!

Thank you for playing! I completely agree with your judgement

Unique concept, would really fit anyone who likes racing games, without the actual racing :'D

I was expecting racing, but was misslead. HOWEVER that certainly was unexpected in itself, so bonus points in unexpectedness for that :P

I guess you could call this a racing manager (?)

Developer

Indeed! Thank you for playing! I'm glad it wasn't what you expected!

Well, this is a pretty cool game, like a mixture of racing and classic RPG!

The graphics and the audio were all really top notch. I enjoyed them a lot. I also struggled with the amount of text, during races it was pretty tedious to press 'Z' through all of the laps. (Especially with the first one where there was 7 or so). That said what you accomplished is really really impressive and I thought the game was fun. Well done :)

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah, I guess expecting to watch races makes more sense since it's more fun haha

Too much text for me but this is definitively unexpected. I dont know if there was a racing game like this for GB and the music reminds of playing pokemon long time ago.

Developer

Thank you! No problemo, I'm glad it was unexpected!

Gameboy style, I like it !

Nothing really unexpected. Fun nonetheless.

Developer

I'm glad you had fun! Thank you! But did you expect text instead of watching the race?

A cool concept and nice Gameboy aesthetics! I just don't get how this is an unexpected game, I think it was originally supposed to be made for GBJAM 8?

Developer

Yeah, It was made during GB Jame 8 but I thought since it is a racing game where you don't see any cars racing it was pretty unexpected

Oh, I see now. Tbh, yeah I kind of didn't expect that too.
