The art is super cute. The animations are great and everything about this game is super cute. There is a slight contrast with the cute graphics and the bad-ish language used in some parts. Apart from that I enjoyed the over-the-top random story bits.
The mouses in the respawn points keep killing me without me even moving. Not that frustrating but definitely a problem. Especially when I first arrived on the first level and it killed me out of nowhere and I didn't even know what happened at first. And there are multiple parts where this is the case. And its not the best to respawn and as soon as you do you have to move or you die again.
Also, the cacti are confusing. There are some that are in the background and you can go through and the others are instadeath and it wasn't at all obvious at first which is which.
The wall climbing is cute too even if a little weird.
The controls could use some tweaking.
Cute entry! I think if you had time for playtesting and improving the level design and controls it could go a long way.
I love the cats :D Gameplay reminds me of mario a bit. A bit buggy but good job on graphics and animations! A little more and this could be a really great game.
Thank you so much :) Maybe I'll find some time to upgrade it after the jam..
Super cute cats! Near perfect animations. Gameplay is a bit lacking and there's a bunch of bugs where I got trapped and couldn't get out, but I think you definitely showed off your artistic talents.
Yay! How cool to watch someone actually playtesting it ;)) Thank you so much for playing and the feedback and the video! And yes, I made all the art myself, including the animations. Also, yes it's pretty buggy and the placement of everything is terrible ;D first jam, first 2d game, first just about everything. In the cave, you could have crouch jumped to get up higher, but alas, I threw together the level an hour before submitting and it's actually impossible to get out of that pit ;) Will try to bugfix some of it after the jam.
love the cat animations!! art style is really awesome, could waves at 2nd phase, really nice game, it will be great with music and sound fx. Great work!
Could you check my Jam entry? I'll appreciate it, Thanks!
Thank you! :)
Found a secret fall area in the first tan area but I couldn't get out
In general this a very cute looking game and I love the pixel art
Thanks! And sorry about the inescapable pit ;) I put a cautionary note on the page, but I'll fix it after the jam..
I wish there was sound! The atmosphere is so beautiful, some music and sfx would enhance it even more! Art was great, gameplay simple but fun. I loved the self sarcasm in credits xD
I wish there was sound too ;D Thanks for the feedback! :))
What a cute fun game :D.The art style is beatiful I espacily liked the cat :].Also surfing level was my favorite part.My only issue is there is no sound effects or background music.Other than that i think you have a great game here:) Amazing work!
