Fun game!  I got two pipes open, then got stuck.  Loved the Brackeys letter.  This was good.  I'm looking forward to what you do next. =)

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm currently making a horror game for Ludum Dare, hope you enjoy! ^^

This was fantastic :)) I really enjoyed it. Being a tad (much) impatient, I would have liked the character to be a bit faster but apart from that it was awesome. Great story, great riddles, great job, well done.

Developer

Thank you so much!

I really liked the art style, I am glad of the screwdriver tip on the pipes, I almost forgot. Loved the typing noises, very keen to see your audio as your strong point in your next games as this was really high calibre stuff. Thanks it was really fun to explore.

Really cool game. I like the art and dialogue box. Everything looks very interesting! Good job!

Very unique game, I really liked the way you made the player piece the story together, well done. I did run into that switching room glitch by accident which was annoying but you have already pointed it out and with a fix it will be fine. Good job on this one!

Developer

Thank you very much! Sorry that the glitch ruined your experience :(

Just had to play it again! :D

There are lots of time since I play point and click game last time. Atmosphere, art style was complex firstly, but i got used to it. In general. nice game. Good job.

This is a nice and compact game. You address the theme and limitations by yourself.
I think you accomplished a great thing by that alone.

My feedback is that I think this game/you would do really well in a team of about 3-4.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! Yes! If I had a team for this one it would be  great, but since I didn't lose my job from lack of sleep, I regret nothing :D

This was nice! ^^

I got a bit stuck so I ended up watching the video. The dialogue was my favorite part (also letter to brackeys hah... :'c) and great use of the theme!

Developer

Thank you very much! I also enjoyed your game a lot! ^^

This was really sweet game with great atmosphere ! I couldn't finish it because I got the transition bug twice (and the walking speed is too slow to try for a third time). But still a great point and click with very fun puzzle. Good job.

I'm sorry the bug ruined your experience :( But glad you enjoyed!

I thought your game was really cool. I liked the old black and white style, and the old typewriter sound.  It's a shame you couldn't add music. I love the "this would work but it is unethical." At some point, it felt like it was getting kind of tedious having to go back and forth at a snails pace, also the dialogue felt really slow sometimes sometimes. Maybe it is just because I am not that big of a fan of point and click games. I got stuck several times, so I just ended up watching the video instead.  Either way you made a very cool game.

Developer

Hello, you're absolutely right, the speed can indeed be tedious, I should think during develipment that, unlike me, people don't always kbow exactly where to go and they have to do some extra walking, which in this speed can be frustrating indeed! Glad you discovered the "unethical easter egg"! :D

I like the aesthetic of the game! And I like the funny lines and the letter to Brackeys haha! The writing is great and you did a great job! 😁

Great game:). I couldn't finish though, I was stuck because I couldn't get the money, and I think I knew what to do next but this was blocking me. It's funny what this old man seems to go through haha. I wonder how he lost the keys. Nice littles touches here and there, like the letter.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you very much! ^^ you can check the playthrough video in case you wonder what happens next! :)

What a clever game!  A unique and fun interpretation of the focus and theme.  As a mystery/ "I spy" lover this was quite enjoyable. Loved the hilarious alternative swears such as the "middle finger" graffiti and when the old man said "green beans!" I died XD

My suggestions :
- Make the cursor change over objects you can interact with instead of sparkling all the time or make a sparkle permanently around objects.  For some of the objects it was hard to tell if they were "pick-upable".
- Make a list of tasks/ objectives in a UI or on a menu screen as you chat with people so you can keep track.  (i.e. "get wooden statues",  "get a treat", "find a key", etc.)

All in all great game and kudos on focusing in areas that you were uncomfortable with, you did a great job!  Excited to see what music you implement.

Developer

Your ideas are so brilliant! 100% will do! Thank you very much ^^

First of all, I love how the game looks! I'm also a sucker for point and click adventure games, so I'm definitely going to try and finish this. The only suggestions I have would be to have interactable objects in the scene have some kind of indicator when you hover over them, and to be able to skip text. Overall, super cool entry! If you have the time, I'd also appreciate it if you played my game!

Very addictive I played for ages trying to beat it. A few quality of life things though: it may not seem like it but moving between each area instantly would be a massive help maybe if the game were 1st person and you simply clicked where you want interact with (also would save time with sprite you mentioned you we're working on aspects of game dev you are uncomfortable with so avoiding unnecessary art can help especially on a deadline); keyboard shortcuts - clicking can be tedious and arrow key movement as well as enter to progress text and space to select and deselect the tool would have been welcome changes. Overall fun game just missing a few small quality of life changes that make playing really tedious.

I guess now is when I ask you to play my game?... please do its always appreciated.

Developer

Thank you very much for your recommendations! Those are great ideas, wish I had during the making process! Of course I will play your game! ^^

the best game from the jam so far for me

Thank you! Means a lot to me :)

The art is fantastic and very clever. Reminds me of a style of art in a book i read as a kid though i don't remember what it was called. Either way i really enjoyed the game Great work!

It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!

Developer

Thank you very much for your kind words! I ensure you I will check it out after work!

What an interesting art style! Love the use of the low res photos in the back. I imagine most of the time working on this was getting everything to work perfectly with the game. One of the biggest drawbacks of the point and click adventure is it can be really tough to decide what to interact with. I ended up getting the doll and after about 20 mins I had to call it because I couldn't figure out where to go. Thanks for sharing it!

Developer

Thank you very much for your comment, constructive criticism and video! It really helps me improve the game post jam! I gave you some clues in the comments of your video so I don't spoil clues here, for now, of I see I have to I will. I think I will eventually add an outline to things you can interact with when you're in range of interaction! Btw, I subscribed! Really liked your commentary :)

Submitted(+1)

Not really to do with the theme but an interesting game that i want to play more of.

Developer

Thank you very much for your comment and sorry you didn't find it related to the theme! Literally going there and back was the main thing of the game, well at least  in my head :)
