Fun little game, super simple and easy to play. I like all the combos you could make and each stein was different which was cool to see. Great job on the art, everything looked great.

What a fun and good Idea!

The going back and forth all the time is kind of repetitive... Maybe try a different approach(?) ☺

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, we had several thoughts about how to mix up the return journey - enemies to avoid, crumbling bridges, so you'd have to plan your routes carefully, that sort of thing - but we couldn't get anything fleshed out enough and implemented within the scope we'd set for ourselves.

Really enjoyed this one! Concept fits the jam really well. Music is a big bonus also adds to the gameplay.

Feel the collision system is a bit janky but comes with time. Other than that great game!

Would appreciate if you could check out my game :)

Developer

Thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think the collision issues are going to haunt me for the rest of my days, haha.

Added feedback for yours, nice work.

The concept fits the game jam theme well.

It needs more work on the collision system, specifically the hitboxes of some of the sprites.

The music is good too! Gives the Frankenstein vibe :D

I'd appreciate your feedback of my game :D

Thanks for playing! I'm glad somebody appreciated the music, I haven't had anyone else comment on it, yet.

I've left some feedback for yours, very impressive stuff!

Loved this!

something about the art just made me feel nostalgic. Like some old flash games or something.

I also LOVE the fact that you see the finished monster in the end, that impressed me.

I think you have some weird colliders in your level though, sometimes I feel like I should be able to walk somewhere when I can't. Like under the leaves of a tree.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I was thrilled when we finally got the art into the engine and got to see what the finished product would be like. The finished monster very nearly didn't make it in, so I'm glad I decided to squeeze it in during the last moments. The collision issues are definitely the weakest part of the game, so it's definitely something for us to be extra vigilant about in the future.

Did you submit a game to the jam? I was trying to see if I could find an entry, so I could return the favour and leave some feedback, but I didn't spot anything.

Weird. Is there not a link beneath my comment? Anyways, I'll drop the link here :) https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/765872

Ah, I see. It depends which view you're seeing it from. On the Jam page, it shows the link, but from inside the dashboard it doesn't. I'll check it out anyways, thanks again!
