thank you for playing my game, I appreciate your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it and many thanks for the kind words, I wonder why the background music was not playing for you because I do put some in I'll look into that, as well as those inventory bugs you found. Thank you very much 😊
Edit: I'll play your game as soon as I get home from work 👍
Hey great game here. I really liked the variety of the relics doing giving you different debuffs for the rest of the level, it definitely makes you plan out your routes so you don't die lol. I noticed that only some of the time the jump sound would play and most of the time it would not, not sure what was causing that. I found the game challenging yet not too hard to where I couldn't complete the game. Well done!
Hey thank you for playing my game! I appreciate you taking the time to play it and I am glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you for the feedback. I didn't even think about telling them in main menu or at the start and probably would have been a better route to go. I put one note down that had that in there but probably would have been better to do it at the start so to avoid any confusion. I am about to try your game right now :
Fun little game, controls were on point and super responsive an natural for a platformer. Short and sweet and an enjoyable experience all the way to the end. Super good job man I enjoyed it. Only thing that would have been a bit better was if powerups were just picked up and applied upon overlapping them.
This is my second jam, my first was the weekly game jam but wasn't rated and sadly got zero feedback on, so I'm happy I've gotten such an active community in this jam and appreciate everyone's feedback that's played mine, I'll check yours out. If you wanted to check mine out I'd really appreciate it
Hey I'm glad you decided to give it a try and enjoyed the game, I appreciate the kind words and feedback. I was totally debating with whether or not to have controls on screen at all times, probably should have done middle route and had them in option menu at the very least. I put the flashlight in cause it was a bit darker and it might help folks to see if they needed it, but should have done something with the jump like hid a key in a high spot. I tinkered around with opening notes right away but I couldn't get it to feel smooth enough to include in the final build but is something I definitely want to work on for future projects. I appreciate you taking the time to play my game and give me valuable and detailed feedback your awesome! 👍
Good game, well done. The art and animations felt super solid and fluid, well done. Super simple and fun game. My only nitpick I would have to say would be when you attack it would be nice if when you clicked behind your guy he would turn around and attack in the direction you clicked in. other than that solid game.
Great simple game. loved the look of the aliens. I would recommend putting in a little spot for controls so a player knows how to move around, I figured it out right away but maybe for those that aren't huge gamers. I had my girlfriend try it too cause she really like the little alien dudes, and I didn't show her how to play or anything and she couldn't figure out how to play until I showed her. but all in all great job!

Would love some feedback on it anyone who plays it has the time. Thank! :D
Fun little game, I really like the simplicity of it and runs smoothly. I didn't quite understand how to make the potion boost work before the cost got too high for me to where I couldn't buy them anymore. Maybe a bit more clarity on how they worked in the beginning would be helpful, and possibly a way to re-read it as well would be helpful as well. Also maybe reset either the cost every so often or cap it at a max cost would be cool and reset the pickups every now and then, would be helpful. Overall very good game you did a great job and is fun. The art was really well done, and I like that afterimage trail that really helped to show how fast you were moving and just looked cool. Good job 👍
Hey thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it, thanks for the accessibility and visibility tips! I will remember that for future projects. As to the size I'm still unsure exactly how to reduce the game size better in ue4 though I did better in this game than I did in past ones but I do understand how some would definitely be turned away after seeing other folks files so small seems I need to do some more research on how to get it even smaller 🙂 after some research I found that "Unreal directx runtime" is a dependacy that ue4 uses so as far as I could find seemed pretty normal. I don't get that from running it myself course it's probably installed with the engine. Though I definitely understand getting the leery feeling about it. I really appreciate your time to give me some feedback and will definitely dive into improving myself in all of what you said, your awesome!
This was my second game jam and only the third game I've ever finished so I learned; One, happy I finished a game, two, remembered a lot of tutorial information without having to return to them to do the desired task while applying that knowledge and try new things that kindve worked out. Three, learning a whole lot of things like better time management, better modeling techniques, and how to let go of a bit of a perfectionist attitude to actually just finish something and move on and learn from mistakes to do better next time. Overall I'm happy with my game, a few small bugs that I missed but not unplayable and feels more complete than my first game jam game. If you have time to try it I would love any feedback on it. I hope you had a great game jam and learned lots 👍😀
hey everyone I could use some feedback on my game for the jam. Whether you love or hate it some feedback would be very appreciated. Is it boring, fun, easy, hard, what improvements could be made on design or art assets. Pretty much anything you could think to help me improve for my next project would be most welcome, thanks for your time :) here is the link to my game. https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/767649
