You would think 'slightly mellow' would be a problem but it's not really. If this was in a cute game that nonetheless was describing disaster or just something deliberately retro to harken to a time when that was as hard as things went in the day. It's not booming my eardrums out like the battle at the start of Gladiator like a Zimmer piece. Nor was this the purpose! But it hits all the marks once I say the above. Superbly crafted. Glad I heard it.
Thanks a lot :). I intended for it to be a bit more "eardrum-booming" but actually found this to perhaps be more fitting. Glad you like it! :D
Oh, man I so loved that. Ennio Morricone meets Bach and they have a duel before the end of the world. The piece is full of great ideas. Is catchy and melodically works wonders. If I had to point out something to improve, would be the hits with full silence afterwards, which happen twice in the song. At first listen I thought my player had some problem, but then I realized it was intentional. I feel the staccato you were aiming for, but maybe full silence with no reverb at all is too harsh and creates an ambiguous sensation to the ears. But that is just some small detail for the picky, totally unimportant in an awesome piece. Fantastic work.
Thanks a lot :D! I totally agree about the full silence. I wanted to try out some automation, but I also noticed it did not have quite the effect I was hoping for. I am glad you like it though :)
Groovy, catchy tune! Really gets you in the mood to beat that final boss! Very nice!
Thank you very much! :D
very well done! makes me think of an rpg/jrpg for sure
Thanks, I am glad you like it :)
