The NPC replacement is reminiscent of classic modules like N1 (Against the Cult of the Reptile God) and I10 (Ravenloft II: The House on Gryphon Hill) in a more streamlined way. I enjoy the consistent theming and thorough use of the inspirational material. Good approach to this process.
Thanks. I could have benefited from doing the whole thing a bit smaller to add polish. Maybe I’ll come back to this to give it the spit and shine it needs.
The Dungeon Web on page 5 is really cool. I like the point crawl aspect of it. VERY USEABLE.
I am glad you think so. That is how I plan these things out because I suck at art. I was going to try drafting something up for this jam but I was far too ambitious with the size of my submission.
Nothing like getting inspired by your kids. And a flowchart for layout!
I really like the idea of snakes wearing human skin! Eeek!
Very cool ideas and such an eerie concept. Also, I love the fact that you can trade with the octopus instead of just fighting it. My players love those kinds of twists
Thank you! I’m no good at art or cartography so I just tried to cram as much interesting stuff as I could in there.
Love the replacement timer and the die mechanic if they alert the town, very elegant. Also love the snake skin machine, and its fun trying to sort out which Cycles you ended up using!
Thank you. I always thought the most interesting part of Shadowdark was the real-time stuff so I decided to try it with a “non-renewable resource”
