Very sweet. The writing was really evocative and interesting, and I like the unique puzzle system. It had a very solid, cohesive aesthetic overall. I did wind up stuck in the second fight, because I think I lost all my lives, then eventually got thrown into the perpetual void- I'm not sure if that was the intended death screen asdfasdf. Beyond that, incredible work for a three day game.

The two main characters have completely opposing personalities--they are polar opposites, even. Surya is reckless and angry where Arche is methodical and anxious; Surya pushes people away, while Arche believes he doesn't deserve others and never attempts to pull them in. However, since they cannot escape without each other's aid, the two form a reluctant partnership. They come to like each other as much as they clash; eventually, their relationship blossoms into a love story, just as magnets which begin in the wrong side are eventually destined to come together (however, although we finished the entire 21 page script, we were only able to implement around half of it, so we get as far as friendship, and then friction again). They are also polar opposites in terms of their goals--in the end, Arche wants to stay in the world they've been trapped in, while Surya wants to leave. However, they come to a final conclusion of ultimate unity, meeting in the middle despite their polarity (again. this part hasn't been implemented yet).
There is polarity in terms of gameplay: player must switch between Surya, to fight through monsters, and Arche, to work through complex puzzles. One main puzzle we utilized is a magnet labyrinth: the player must switch magnets' polarity in order to clear the way to a key to the next room.
