The graphics are really good and the level design was on point! The animations also looked really good, and the sound effects worked perfectly with their actions! The amount of interactive objects in the game is also incredibly impressive and makes the game feel as though its taking place in a very alive and working building, it kind of reminded me of Hitman in this way (which is a really good thing!)
I think some sort of interactive tutorial would have really helped so the player doesn't feel overwhelmed at first (but its a jam so I totally understand the time constraints), some of the guards appeared to have question marks above their head for no apparent reason (like being seen or deactivating a camera) maybe a small thinking bubble could be used to communicate what the AI is searching for so the player can improve their strategy.
Overall, I really enjoyed playing and this was a very unique game!
Thanks a lot for your appreciation !
Yes, we absolutely should have put a tutorial in there somewhere, it's definitely the biggest weakness of the game.
But now dumb dev story time !
The guards' AI is actually really simple : when a guard (or their camera) sees you, they get an exclamation mark and follows you. The question mark was just feedback for when invincible dark guards get shot, as a way to show the player they couldn't be killed. However this kinda backfired with the guard walking is the laser room (top left) because his exclamation mark kept getting triggered by said lasers.
This is probably what you were thinking about !
Really cool game. I've seen games with "clones" like this before, but they've always been puzzle games. The scope of this makes it feel more like an immersive sim style thing and I'm very into it.
It's vaguely reminding me of streets of rogue.
The main area to polish is that UX around selecting clones. I would have loved a "clear clone" button. Obviously sound and visuals could use some work but for a game jam it's perfect.
I could see this being a full game with more gadgets and enemy types etc.
Difficulty is a bit high - only because the mental load of keeping everything in your mind at once is quite tough. I recommend making it easier then making extra challenges more explicit (one clone run, no gun run, under x Time run etc)
I managed to get to the central room then died on the laser wire because I was overwhelmed and didn't even notice it.
I checked out streets of rogue and it does seem like an interesting game, so thanks for letting me know it exists !
Also, very detailed analysis ! We already started to make a more polished version of the game (and yes, starting with the UI and bug fixing). However, I'm not sure what you're thinking of when mentioning gadgets, could you elaborate on that ?
Didn't have anything super specific in mind, but you could have things like:
etc etc. Not sure exactly what is and is not suitable for the vibes of your game - just strikes me that there are lots of things like this you could add in a full version
this is incredible and i need to come back to it to try and beat it later
Your game is incredible as well ! Your take on the corpse mechanic worked extremely well with the trapped temple setting, impressive work for a game jam !
Dangggggg this game is great. It's like a multiplayer but you play with yourself and ahhhh I want to see more levels for this game. Even though it's just the one layout, it feels like there's so many ways to play this. It has a certain difficulty that maybe you can make a better tutorial series for in the future? I swear more people should play this and you should definitely keep working on this game! Great job and such perfect execution :D
Thanks for your comment ! We wrestled quite a bit with difficulty and the final product definitely wasn't perfect but we're really proud of what we made. The "solo multiplayer" aspect was something we were going for since the very start of the project and I am glad it was a well received idea.
Also, more levels and mechanics are on the way, though we'll try to keep the game relatively small as we also have many other projects on our hands right now !
Hey ! If you still want to see more levels, we published a full version a few days ago, very proud of it :)

I'm confused about what I was supposed to do after I died. The reset button was greyed out and hitting the quit button crashed the game. You guys made an incredible amount of systems for such a short time! I guess part of the challenge is finding a way to teach those systems quickly in a way that isn't overwhelming. You should keep working on this!
Aaaah yes, on the death screen you're supposed to click on one of the "Echo" buttons (top right of the screen) : it stores your past actions into a clone which will play alongside yourself next time you try the level !
Could have been made clearer, sorry :)
Oh that sounds neat, I'll have to go back and try it again
Great idea, well polished
I ended up quitting but I enjoyed it a lot
Very well polished game and nice take on the theme. The game is hard to get a grasp of but when you do it's really fun. The music really fits the setting and the art is adorable. Impressive game!
Really cool game the mechanic feels really well done. Definitely starts off daunting but it starts to come together as you play. A reset button for the slots and maybe pressing r to die instantly would help. Here is my first completed run (spoilers). Really well done!
Edit: So fun I decided to use only 3 echoes and no shooting. I want a full version!
Thanks a lot for your feedback, you absolutely destroyed the game though, we did not expect you to block the final guard, bypass the room full of spikes, and finish with only echoes, so... congratulations ! You've literally beaten us at our own game !
This game is just my type of game, really really well done! I played again and used 3 echoes and no shooting. Full release when?
AAAAAAH ok now this is just way too much dedication to not push me over the edge.
Tell me (FeuilleMorte.contact@gmail.com if you want to) how I can contact you and I'll tell you when the game is done
And also thanks, your appreciation truly means a lot to us
I'll be watching thanks!
Edit: Also you can beat it with 2 clones lol
Hey ! It's been quite a while but we did make a full version and I just remembered those comments existed, so if you want to give it a try, it's out! :)

liked the idea so much it's a good polished game.
no much to say here just WOW.
also i wish i can remove-reset the slots to start from the beginning with
Thanks ! Yes, reset echoes was an option we had planned to include at some point but hey, game jam, so this never happened hehe
do you know what ... after i played the game for a while here my feed back about at
the more i played it the more i love it that's it.
and also it's could get some more polishing, the good thing tht you can do that after the jam ends you can continue developing it more and more if you want :)
Good game, a little hard in the beginning.
Whoa! This game is a mind scrambler..
A little feedback tho: It is quiet difficult to grasp the level itself without any demo level to get familiar with. Making 2-3 demo levels will help player understand the mechanics than reading them. That's my 2 cents..
But the game is ambitious and it delivers. Well done completing the game for this jam!
Thanks for the feedback ! We should indeed have done some introductory levels before the grand heist.
Amazing al around! Complex but fun and rewarding! I love the squishy character designs, and all the effects. As for the difficulty, its tough but fair!
Great job!
Please consider paying and rating my game if you can :)
Thanks ! Your game was pretty fun but above all, the whole thing felt really elegant and coherent, always great to see this kind of game in a jam ! :)
Very good art, the game is fun, but hard to understand the mechanics.
Looks very nice! The mechanics were a bit confusing for me, but other than that great game!
Yup ! We definitely should have gone for a portal-like tutorial before the big level, my mistake on this one ^^'
It looks super cool, but I think im to stupid to play it XD
