Good design and effects, but I didn't understand the game.
Can you elaborate? Like were you confused about your goal, the (minimal) narrative, the controls?
Cool and unique idea. Just got some trouble with jumping the pits had to stop before the pit object press jump then move forward if I tried a running jump it does not seem to register.
Thanks for the info! I ran into the jump bug as I was finishing the game but didn't have time to figure out what was causing it. Hopefully this can help me narrow it down
I really liked the idea! The character was cute, but a bit hard to handle. I'm not sure if it was a bug or if it was just me being stupid, but I couldn't finish the first level :( I checked all the traps I found but I somehow missed one?
I'm sorry you weren't able to finish, I may have made the scoring system too harsh. Currently it's (reported traps - false reports)/total faulty traps, so missing, or incorrectly flagging traps in the early levels actually hurts your score more than it does later. I'll definitely consider a different approach if I take this idea further
It's a bug, I just watched my mom play and she had the same issue. I didn't realize when I uploaded it, but the camera doesn't show a trap just to the left of your spawn on the first level. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the screen size or if I set the camera bounds incorrectly
it occationally would eat a jump, and the later levels got a bit grindy
love the idea tho
Yeah, I'm not sure what causes the jump glitch, but I'll look into it. And do you think checkpoints would help cut down on the grindy feeling?
ya, checkpoints may cut down on the grindy-ness
Cool game!
The main difficulty I had with it were the controls. They were kind of hard, and at times felt a little unresponsive.
Disregarding that, I found the game to be original and I really liked the Tutorial with gif / videos.
Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! And yeah, I definitely need to tune my character controller some more. I lost a day cus my first idea was way out of scope, so I didn't get to test and polish things as much as I would've liked
Haha, yes. Overscoping in a one weekend jam can be the death of the project.
Cool concept, could be amazing with some polishing!
I'd appreciate it if you would have a play of mine!
