Finally a game where you actually collaborate with an AI. It's really fun as well, I would pay for this.

Really fun, and underrated. Music is good and fits the game well, movement is satisfying (though could be improved as I'll explain soon), and I found myself playing multiple rounds rather than most games that I'll just play a couple rounds to get a good idea of how to game works. I do have few bits of feedback for you:

  • When you fall off the platform, your platform pushes you down.
    • Another similar issue, if you try to jump from an enemy platform to your platform, your platform will go up, and then you fall down, and then it pushes you down.
  • Either the jump could be stronger, or the up dash could go further, as I felt I would miss enemy platforms a lot since I couldn't go fast/far enough.
    • This doesn't apply to the platforms that are right next to the main platform.
  • I think bullets could use trails, that way they are easier to see, as they are a little small atm.

Even with those issues, it was a really fun game!

Thank you for the great feedback!! The movement and the board AI could definitely use some polishing and I will try to solve the points you mentioned if I get to work on a post jam version. The bullets trails is a great idea! I also thought they were a bit small, but making them bigger would make them harder to avoid, so a trail is a good idea to increase visibility without increasing difficulty.

This game is EPIC!!! the music fits to the gameplay, air movement feels awesome dashing between platforms is fun, and the AI is well polished although after the jam maybe add two behaviors for when your on a platform that's falling have it rescue you and when your going to hit a platform have it hold off. Other than that well done Amazing submission Great job.

I had a ton of fun playing this game, the controls fit, the movement was satisfying, Though most of the time, the AI pal would push you through falling platforms after you kill the enemies. I mean it does catch you, so not a big deal, just slows the game down

Enjoyed this game

Very clean movement and a fun game overall,
everything was very simplistic and to the point.
I liked that the platform looks at the player like that and follows it that was kinda cool
the music was also really good!
Good job!

Nice game, great work for a game jam

Neat little game, but sometimes the AI would make it impossible to get back on.

The controls make this very difficult to play. Having said that, seeing your AI buddy swoop down to catch you is incredibly satisfying. The gameplay is also very good (besides the controls).

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! What do you find problematic about the controls and how could they be changed to be better?

Arrow keys are awkward for me, so I'd prefer WASD. Which would also mean moving the dash button to something like J or K. But other than that, I think this is pretty good.

Developer(+1)

Ok I see, thanks. One of the reason I chose arrow keys instead of WASD is because I have an "AZERTY" keyboard, so WASD corresponds to ZQSD on my keyboard, so it was easier to use the universal arrow keys rather than trying to make both WASD and ZQSD work.

Really cool yet simple concept! I really liked it, was very addicting to play, good job

Amazing game, really enjoyed it! It is really simple yet very fun, although I’ve struggled a bit at the beginning. I also liked once again simple but really nice visuals and sounds that complement each other very well.
