First of all, i love the title, this premise is very intriguing, great choice of words.

The game also looks very unique, very cool and stylized look, the atmosphere fits very well , also the sounds are very repetative. The wasp (or is it supposed to be a siren?) sound is such a short look that it’s easily noticable. I think the fire is short as well, but there it’s not as prevalent, but the other has just too easy of noticable patterns (2 low hums + 2 high hums, then repeat).

The stealth gameplay is quite nice, even so this perspective makes it hard not to get stuck on obstacles, and especially the lower wall is obstructing vision. (When you’re hugging the wall you don’t even the the light of the player anymore). Also, i don’t know what you need the jump for? At first i thought i can jump over the middle wall, but that didn’t seem to work.

I’ve gotten to the point where the 6 wasps are in a row, and have no idea how to beat it at that point. And since there are no checkpoints or anything, trying this multiple times gets frustrating very fast.

Additionally after seeing the premise, i’m a bit confused what wasps have to do with all of this? :D Till now i haven’t seen any mechs (except the background), maybe they’ll come later, but up to this point i feel a bit cheated by the premise. :O

Thank you! yeah the audio was super rushed because i had one less day than I thought so i just threw some things together in a couple minutes lol.

The perspective definitely needs some polish and I was considering taking out the jump but then I just never remembered to actually do it. It was part of a template for movement that I modified for my own needs, at one point I thought maybe I'd use the jump but never did.

So if you try, you can outrun the wasps, and at the point you're talking about I hoped the player would just go for broke and run for it. The next screen over from the six wasps is where the end is and there's a bit of mech action ;) I wanted to stick in a checkpoint system, but the way I had the game set up and with my current skill set I couldn't think of how to do one before submission time.

Honestly I just had some wasp assets and wanted to use them so I used them for the enemies. The mechs play a bit more of a background part, but they're in the game at least lol

Hmmm, yes ofc i tried running, but would always die instantly the next screen? Not 100% why.

Yeah there are cars that sort of block your movement that are in a blind spot between screens, so if you are stopped for even a second they tend to get you. Positioning of the cars in relation to the screens needs some polish as well lol
