Hello, I'm the developer of Liminal Leap, which I submitted to this jam. I've played through several of the entries and I'm really impressed by Radio Check. The VHS effect and walking camera shake are fantastic! Did you create those effects yourself? The introduction is very well done and creates a strong atmosphere. I appreciate the game's overall style (Love the outside map with the snow. It's so realistic.) , as it aligns with my own approach to game development.

While I enjoyed the game, I found the camera shake a bit excessive when running. It might be worth considering toning it down.

I think our styles might complement each other, so perhaps we could collaborate on a project in the future.

I  voted and rated your game. Good job!

Thanks for playing and rating! The camera effects along with all the character controller components and functions were all made by me and by far took the longest chunk of development time. Lots of hours spent tweaking and researching the look of a 90s era handy cam. Its filters all the way down to figuring out something called Convolution Kernels to mimic the way light stretches vertically for a camera of the era, all very fun stuff to figure out in the end. I plan to create a part 2 as an update for this to extend and remix what's already there, I'll also be packaging the player controller along with all the related functions and effects as a bundle to purchase at a later date soon.

Would you be willing to share how you accomplished such polished visuals? They're so good!

Also If you haven’t had a chance yet, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my game. No worries if you’re busy, just thought I’d ask!
