No actually, may be worth a shot.

Lemme know how it goes.

I'll do my best, not sure if i want to risk it though. Just got this laptop for 1.4k

Well, the game shouldn't really cause any damage, unless it is overheating specific parts of your computer, which may—or may not—be caused by the settings set to max, if it's happening at all. The game isn't the best in terms of optimization, so it is likely not a wise decision to have everything set to max. I would suggest keeping graphic settings default to see if things work from that point. If that doesn't work, it may be something else going wrong.

Thank you

I think it might be overheating because it happened with another game. I'm a bit surprised honestly.

LiverKernelEvent 141 is what the error is reading in the reliability monitor.

The error is commonly caused by hardware faults. Did you build the PC yourself, or did you order it pre-built?

Bought it from amazon. It's a Katana 15 B12V

I had a talk with MSI to figure out what was going on. They had me update my Firmware and other optional windows updates, including my GPU which I neglected to do.

For posterity the update was Micro-Star International., Ltd -Firmware - 3.0.1.2

With some audio and adapter updates.

They also suggested that it might be an overheating issue and recommended I renew the thermal paste. So, I'm going to monitor that.

I will update if anything else happens. I hope this helps anyone else if they come across this problem.
And thank you for helping me.

I do my best. Also make sure that your computer gets proper ventilation, including your GPU. If your GPU is overheating, then it is due to ventilation. This could be due to its fans not working, and that could be caused by the lack of updates, or a hardware fault. If it's your CPU, then yeah, the thermal paste may need the renewal, and if THAT doesn't work, make sure your computer fans are working.

Keep me posted, but so long as you're in contact with a professional, I'm sure you'll get things figured out soon. Best of luck!

Monitored the temps and the CPU got pretty spicy at a top of 94c. So I am definitely getting some new thermal paste. Gonna have geek squad do it though because it looks very complicated in there.

Always fair. Better to play it safe.
