I don't know if it was the web build or skill issue but the enemes move at the same speed as the player and can hide under your gun between where you can't shoot them and then it's game over because you can never kill them with their perfect AI.

None of the enemies are faster than the player, but they could be since some upgrades change the player's walk speed so possible that the upgrade choices were just bad lol but yeah there's no way to kill them after they reached a certain point

They weren't faster, they were equal in speed to me. I couldn't create distance. I was at the first level by the way, only planted one tomato and it still took me like 10 tries to get to level 2. Did not pass that due to felt impossible to me.

Oh... That's strange, I tried playing it again and the player is very much faster than the tomatoes in the first stage, but sorry you had to face that, I really am not sure what could possibly be causing the issue

I just tested something and figured it out
-In fullscreen, the tomatoes were twice my speed
-in the normal view, they were equal
-when I shrunk the page to 70%, they were 70% of my speed and I had an easy time outpacing them

It's the window size messing with things. Worse, the window doesn't scale which means if I shrink the screen to slow down the enemies to a reasonable level I can't pick up the gun to start.

I'll bump the game design score up two because the unfair speed was unintentional.

Oh wow, thank you for bringing up the issue and I really appreciate you changing the rating.
