Thank you!
The left from right thing is... well, the dog can't sniff with its butt, so you can only see ahead of the dog, not behind 😄
The game does grow harder if you fail, because it re-adds the gnomes that escaped back onto the level, because i'm evil. But there are several things which can make the game easier:
- Before opening the new level, you can go back to the first house for a bit of rest and refill.
- You can always just tell the dog to pounce on any square with the right click at the cost of 1 treat and burning that square if it had no gnome in it, so technically you can have at least 7 lives on any map.
- If you opened an empty square, it's safe to open everything around it until there's a number. An empty square can never have a gnome next to it.
That being said, the hardest level in the middle is the Lighthouse which I fail all the time as well. Just like irl while living in this stupid tower full of sun, which I can't leave yet. The math is story- and irl-based, it's the dark souls of minesweeper. I'll take a look at the other levels' math though 🤔
