Really liked this game. Kept want to play just one more round. It was fun to learn to master using the flail and after a while you could swing it exactly where you want to which felt really good. When moving at low speeds, it does feel a bit silly though. Knocking enemies away with a light brush of the flail doesn't feel quite right.  Also, the spikes mechanic can be quite frustrating. The most fun thing in this game is when you're standing in the middle of the screen swinging the flail around at a fast speed and hitting enemies as they come onto screen. The spikes ruin this flow by forcing you to one side of the screen very quickly. You lose your rhythm, you're given less space to swing around, and you're closer to the edge, meaning that enemies can get to you quicker before you can hit them away. All of this adds up to basically mean that when the spikes come out, you need to change from having fun swinging at high speeds to moving slowly and carefully which isn't as fun. But yeah, I seriously loved this game. Great art, music, and gameplay. Well done.

Thanks for such an in depth criticism! It’s good to know there are obvious, easy changes to make in the game. I’ve gotten a lot of feedback that the spikes are a hinderance to the fun and I think that is just due to a lack of play testing. Same goes for the flail killing enemies at slow speeds. Relatively easy changes but I’d never know without everyone play testing. I’m glad you liked the main flail mechanic because I’ve been wanting to make something like this for so long. I’ll definitely be updating this game and hopefully make it worthy of a fun mobile game!

About the spikes - Just try to calculate an balance the spike area. For example - when spikes come from left, they take about 30% area, and it's ok. But top and bottom spikes take about 50%, so it becomes really difficult to spin and keep doing combos.
