Is this game worth playing? Like, I'm a fan of DXD to some extent, good job, but the "Issei" MC, where I can't stand this shitty and cringe character, sorry butnot everyone likes a very simp mc!
I see a lot of DXD games left and right, and every one of them is an original MC, which I much prefer! and the fact that this dxd game parody, where the protagonist is Issei, is making me think that this game is worth it?
In the f95zone forum practically, there are some DXD games there, that caught my attention, I don't know if you played but Demons of Harem [Black_Cat], Gremory Live [Ch.4] [Kamos] are the only ones I know as a DxD parody , this one caught my attention but the protagonist is Issei made me put this game on the list to play.
That is, if there is any story and relationship at all because I gave a try to Demons of Harem and the best part was when I deleted it because it was nothing but a sex simulation between DxD girls and a random stranger without any purpose, story and relationships building. 😅
I MUCH prefer this one right here which is what I wanted when I watched the anime: the original story but without blue-balling with teasing all the time and nothing ever actually happening because "for all public", I always wanted an adult version in which things DO happen and you have it right here! 😉
I tried Demons of Harem and I liked it, despite the character models not being top-notch like here, it managed to win me over due to the fact that I didn't play with Issei as the protagonist. Although his dragon powers are top notch, his personality is deplorable.
And about the "walking Sex Simulation of Demons of Harem and sex with a stranger", I didn't see anything wrong either, of course there was a lack of a good story there, if Dev knew how to explore it. Maybe it's his first game, who knows, but it wasn't a totally text-loaded game, I've played games like that that promised to be erotic VNs, but in 3 hours of play I didn't see a perverted scene. I like it when Dev adds a perverted scene every 30 minutes of the story. Like here, I just played Devil's Academy DxD and found it acceptable. after all, Dev knew how to balance the story and perverted scenes.
And what really killed me here was the boring "sacred flames" and chess minigames that you need to do to be able to follow the next chapter. positive point, I can change Issei's name to mine and show a different character as I would like to be, the choice options in the answers help me make Issei less Simp.
Anyway, I would even recommend Gremory Live [Ch.4] [Kamos] to you, however, he is a Dev who develops his games through the patron community pool, and most of the time when he does a poll it is always the same game "Sarada Training " who wins the poll, even though the game's plot has ended, the other games are left behind.
You have no idea how much I hate Patreon and how it corrupts "indie" video-games development because they are no more indie if patrons influence development like a publisher would do it and don't get me started about Patreon's absolutely hypocrite censorship who forbids harmless things such as incest romance but is fine with rape and slavery. 😒
I lost count of how many promising games were wasted because Patreon's administrators single-handedly and arbitrarily decide what is allowed and what is not allowed in developer's works based on their own personal preferences as if developers were making games to please them above else. 😒

You are being too hard on Issei because while I agree with you that he is insufferable in the anime, I know it is not actually his fault because the authors purposefully ridicule him in order to censor his perversion for the sake of the anime being "for all public", this is one of the reasons why I completely stopped watching animes years ago because I grew sick of authors' hypocrisy. 😒
But here is not the anime, it is an adult visual novel, which means that his perversion will not be censored with grotesque comedy relief anymore so give him a fair chance in the adult version before you automatically damn him, okay? 😉

About the sex scenes in Devil's Academy here, I enjoy them but it bothers me that they happen in-between chapters and are not included into the actual story because each chapter starts right where the previous chapter left off, which implies that the in-between content didn't actually happen and that really bothers me, I wish it would actually be included into the story. 😓

I went through this reason with Dev, Kamus, although he creates cool games that I had my eye on "Gremory Live and Shinigami Brothel" however through the vote on Pantreon he will always develop Sarada Training, even When the content of this game is complete, new scenes are added, while the other two games are always forgotten at the bottom!

Yes, I finished the 4 chapters of this game yesterday and today and the problem here is that you have to stay Keep an eye on the scenes where some icons and you have to click and collect "Sacred Flames" along with status, it's a boring minigame and to release the next chapter, otherwise you are forced to repeat the entire previous chapter to release the next one. Lucky for me, the guys from the f95zone forum community made the chapter cheats available and just by typing it in you can release everything and be able to just focus on the story.

I'm sorry if it seemed like that but it's reality, I liked Issei when I watched DXD when the anime was released in mid-2012. However, time passed and passed, my mentality changed and when I rewatched DxD again until the third season, I asked myself how Could I like such a stupid character?
It got even worse when I decided to read the light novels due to the failure of the animation that started in the third season and continued until the fourth season. I didn't like how Issei grew in the work and developed, his development didn't come from his point of him, he was simply a lazy asshole who received help from everyone.
Even at this point, I prefer Vali Lucifer but he was a cold bastard that sometimes I didn't like. Anyway, Issei's development was something I couldn't stand, and it got to the point that I continued reading the Novel just because of the girls who were my Waifu.

After all, in the last holy battle you almost died the same one that Issei died, and was rescued by Rias... biggest plot twist "if you are an angel", and also Mc has sacred gear that every time he dies it activates the balance break and it's crazy come back to life xD! The only problem with this game is Patreon dictating through polls what Dev should continue developing or not!

Sigh, forget it, I already deleted it after a few minutes of trying it, it is just as bad quality as Demons of Harem from Black Cat, it is a sandbox in which you can do anything in any order because there is no actual organized storyline, it has no purpose, no objectives, no progression, it is boring, I pass. 😒
Meh, what a shame then! 😒 Although it's sandbox and doesn't have a linear story, it's really my type. I'm not a fan of linear VN and I'm not obligated to play as Issei, hahahaha!
But anyway, the bad thing about this game is that you need a "walkthrough" guide to advance in the game story. but even with that, I think it's a little better than Black Cat's Demons of Harem.
I can't stand it when the story is not well organized, when it is chaotic because there is no order, and usually,
non-linear sandboxes don't work because when you are free to do anything in any order but if you don't do them in a specific order then they are not logical, they don't make sense, because you miss something that you should have done before but since you didn't follow the logical order then the story is screwed up, the freedom granted by non-linear sandboxes is an illusion because there is always a certain logical order to follow, your only freedom is to mess up this logical order and screw up the story. 😒
I think both Black Cat's Demons of Harem and Kamos' Angels Humans and Gremory are worthless. 😒
Personal taste, it's a boring thing to deal with, lol! Anyway, sandbox and non-linear are the games that I like the most. Yes, you're right! "History is not well organized, it is chaotic because there is no order!" For me, this is the greatest fun, you can explore the game your way, do shit, see how shit fucked you up, and go back to a previous save point. It's kind of a pleasure for me to play, and when the game has a linear story without branches and divergences, it's practically as if Dev have taken your little hand and guided you through the episodes, boring for me!
With that shit out of the way! I played Devil's Academy DxD again, and I realized something or am I wrong? I must be! Because, until now, we haven't had a lewd scene from issei with the main girls, have we? Because I only saw it with a bunch of random girls and characters. I wonder if there will be one in the next update?!
Wow, wow, wow, hold on, I have to stop you right here because you claimed that non-sandboxes visual novels are linear stories without any branches and divergences, which is wrong because the very point of visual novels is all about making choices which direct the story in different alternative paths according to our choices otherwise these are NOT visual novels, these are KINETIC novels and I avoid kinetic novels specifically because I'm bored with a story which doesn't involve my input, that I am a mere witness without any influence on the events, I pass, I prefer stories which ACTUALLY care about what I want and require my input to go on, which can't proceed without my involvement and you don't need it to be a sandbox to do that. 😉
Actually, Devil's Academy already contains lewd scenes with Koneko, Akeno and Rias however none of them is part of the story, they are fan-service bonus content, which is what frustrates me because I have no interest in scenes which don't actually happen in the story, even the scenes with random girls are not part of the story as they are all part of the in-between chapters and not of the chapters themselves. 😒

Point is, Angels Humans and Gremory is more of a sandbox than VN, "of course there's a silly story there" but you have the freedom to explore every location there and farm status to continue the story, which is a feature of the sandbox that, despite being chaotic and not following a fixed line like Kinect, but also have element of VN. I've already progressed halfway through this game, with walktrought, and there are only two routes, romance or corruption of the girls. Like many games of this nature, there isn't much choice beyond that.
And about the random girls and main girls, I see... I thought I had skipped them when I entered the cheat code to release all the chapter contents and so I tried playing again, withouth cheat but miss all. It really sucks, that these lewd scenes are like fanservice not with the game's story, there's no reason to create an erotica vn as a dev can't get out of her original work tracks
Seriously, I felt like Issei was the prostitute doing a booty call while Rias was hir pimp lol. Anyway, I hope that in the next episode Issei can touch the main girls, as shown in the fanservice scenes because if not, she wouldn't be funny.
