This game is very consistent in its graphics and retro sound effects, and I love the idea of traversing a dungeon to a beat and facing obstacles with music cues. Very impressive for 2 weeks of work. The color palette reminds me of old arcade games, which I love. For a future version, it would be cool to add more obstacles, and maybe experiment with attack bonuses on the beat. (Haha maybe there were some but if so I didn't notice.) And some defensive things, maybe like raising your shield on the beat to block an enemy attack might be fun to play with. :D

Thanks those were some great ideas I thought of allowing enemies (when I actually get some in) be able to strike or move twice on the beat but had not considered a player attack bonus. I will try and keep building on this prototype its my most successful turn based-ish movement I have applied to a game so far.
Glad you picked up on the nostalgia style it was partly to make it more manageable and partly cos I am a big fan of what I grew up on. One day I would love to do an Eye of the beholder / Dungeon master style game :)
