I made a little devlog here that explains how I made it as well:

Thanks! Wow 79%, that's impressive! I'm glad you noticed the fireflies (I actually just meant them to be regular flies but because they were buzzing they'd be giving off noise which would make them light up, but when I designed their movement I found they did remind me of fireflies), their purpose is exactly that - to show the player where the camera was going to be going. And yes, I agree about the collision issue - the player's collision box definitely should have been smaller, and as for the depth perception - that I haven't figured out yet with the echo location shader.
This was really cool! Great art and music. The only suggestion I would have would to be to have the arrows or (WASD) labelled on the corresponding circle. It seems like a bit of a silly suggestion but whenever I've played rhythm games that element always seems to have the arrow keys shown - and for some strange reason not having those made this harder for me when there was a lot of music notes on the screen. But take that with a grain of salt because I'm pretty bad at this type of game.
This is a really cool take on the theme - great graphics and audio too. The only problem I had was learning how to play the game, the pressure is on from the get go which is cool and its pretty clear to see that you need to build things from the side menu, but the tunnel does not to me seem like an obvious item to build right away.
Hard to find time myself - I just rated yours, here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/927774
