It’s well written, and the tropes are explored in a meaningful way. I found the varying art style very distracting, detracting from my immersion. An overhaul of the GUI elements would make the game better, and some way to make the text more readable too (the shifts in size and the lack of isolation from the background art make it hard to read sometimes).

Interesting use of the theme, through a collection of snippets, as Stan is about to die. The writing is quite nice, and flows nicely from one snippet to the other. I'm not super fan of the UI though (white text is difficult to read, interactivity brings a bit of friction, not much coherence between background styles). The final beat was gut-wrenching.
It was cool.

Damn. I can see why this took 4 people. Nicely done. One of the best ones yet. Made me feel things as others here have already said enough times.

Quite impressive for development over a weekend

Nicely done! I think a little bit of work on the presentation (e.g. some more interesting/thematic button graphics, since you click those all the time, and maybe some kind of semi-transparent dialogue box to make reading easier) could have worked wonders, but otherwise it definitely presents a coherent narrative and a cool little scene. Nicely done!

Best game ever!

Oof, right in the feels. Beautiful!

There's a coherent shifting across the memories, from who the character is to who they were, and then back to the present where the convo with Ness is a kind of snap to who she is now (ie. you both changed.). I think that snap works well. I'll say I do wish AI wasn't used to make all the images, but that's my own stance on AI; in some images the characters look different so there's a bit of a divide between the story and visuals. The choice in the end to tell the truth or spare her from it (I chose the latter) I felt was particularly important.

Pretty linear (I didn't really see any new content on my second playthrough), but there's a good illusion of choice on the first playthrough.  The art is nice.  I feel like there was a bit of a narrative gap between the protagonist's feelings about his wife/ex-wife as presented in the flashbacks vs. how he feels (and how the narrative frames her) in the intro section, but I don't know how much time is supposed to have passed between the most recent flashback and the present day, so maybe it's fine.

this starts very very angry, but from that point has a nice narrative flow that builds back to that point. i agree with the legibility concerns and liked the consistent colours

Really awesome job on this!

The art really tied the story together and I was thoroughly interested in seeing the end. The bittersweet ending got me, and I definitely felt like I got a small glimpse into your characters’ lives.

From a technical standpoint, it would help legibility if you added a text box behind the text. The white text was occasionally hard to read on the art.

Overall, great job on this, definitely my favorite of the jam so far!

good story and use of the theme. You also win the award for the most writers. Also the art is beautiful. I played on my phone. Only suggestion is to make everything resize better for mobile devices.

The images are really blurry for fullscreen viewing, but it's still a nice experience. Even just having dialogue naturally size up and down on the left side according to line length and having choices on the right side helps it stand out a lot among other pieces!
