Glad the piece was enjoyable to listen through! Ethereal is interesting - maybe it came from listening to too much of the score from “The Fury” while writing.

taking notes…

Yeah, as a professor of would say, "That transition needs a little sandpaper".

Glad it was worth it - it was fun to write and mix and master which makes it more worth it.

Thanks for the feedback! What landscape does this piece exist in for you?

Forgot to say mention that I was fearing "the skeksis" would jump out at me in the piece.

Yeah - echoing high piano lines especially "angular lines" (lines with lots of larger intervals and rhythmic squareness) are very crystal like. Its a really great sound here!

The adventure feeling is definitely from assuming - a castle = lots enemies to fight. Glad the piece was enjoyable!

Thanks! Had to bring the key and instrumentation back around to make the piece loop-able if necessary (with some cutting and re-mastering). I'm glad the sparse sound works after that big ending chord.

Thank you! Definitely had some single person game running around a castle in mind.

Thank you! definitely was thinking about single player games with lots of enemies to battle.

Thanks for the feedback. I would not count this as classical much more Late Romantic because of the weird tonalities. Was looking at the score for "The Fury" by Williams for ideas - though this is far less intense.

From the first second I knew this would groove - great syncopation between parts!

Nice sound with that bowl/water drum for lead - I really loved the supporting bass synth for the second half as well.

Really great full mix and catchy melody!

Nice sound design lots of richness and the delay and verb fill out the spaces in between well!

Love the patience and space throughout, and that bassline is so relaxing!

Great piano writing! The piano is working hard and sounds great.

Those watery bass sounds are never a bad idea - always make me think of Tipper.

I love the fullness of every sound - great mix!

Nice enveloping piece! Really brought me into a space like a video game score should.

Very nice! Love the string chord change and the chord voicings there - well written strings will pretty much sell me on anything.

Nice chiptune/8 bit take on the theme. Really fun to listen too!

Oh - nice piano with all the delay and reverb!

Nice grand low string line, and the bells work really well for the theme too.

Love the kick - really gets the head moving!

That Labs trumpet is actually very nice sounding, great mysterious opening!

Great job on creating the hugeness for the castle side of theme - and nice crystal sounds in the 8th note delay glockenspiel.

Great sound design for the theme - love the icy marimba-esque lead.

Very nice arpeggio drive in the strings and a very clear mix!

Thank you! Started with that doomy artwork (found him through "Bell Witch"), so things were always headed in that direction.

Great counterpoint and that fast arp line is awesome!

It's oil by my favorite artists of all time who past recently - Mariusz Lewandowskis https://www.lewandowski.art/

Good ear on you - my studies were in Composition for Film, Games, and TV.

Thank you - glad its in the right feeling. Lots of different possibilities in games, so I went with the artwork as a guide.

Thank you, and thanks for hosting! I wanted to test out some game jams. It was great to start out only worrying about the music.

Thank you! Going mix again today after listening in the car speakers last night. (Always a good check!)

Great sound! Really great percussion and the guitar mix is awesome too.
