Nothing to say but wow!! Incredible song, definitely my favorite!

Fantastic work! A treat to the ears, with a wonderful beginning harmonically, as others already pointed out, and then a great spooky, playful mood perfect for immersing oneself in this Crystal Castle game, which is maybe a fast paced platformer? Really enjoyed this. Great track with lots of potential.

My personal favorite for all the 20 songs submitted. The harmony is the best of all the songs so far. The arpeggio at the start is my favorite. I love the fast notes over what sounds like harmonic minor. Personally, I would have leaned more into that sound and style that for the entire song. It stands out quite a lot. Another constructive criticism, only after re-listening to the song several times do I hear that ostinado that was in the start. I would've preferred it to be more noticeable in the rest of the song's segments. Maybe replace it with a marimba or something high-pitched so you can hear it.

Thank you so much! Exactly, it is a harmonic minor scale. I added it again in the last and penultimate measure, but unfortunately, it doesn’t stand out as much due to mixing reasons. As for the ostinato, I completely agree. Instead of a marimba, I considered adding a kalimba, which has a sweeter and more delicate sound, but I eventually discarded that idea. Thank you very much for your comments! 👌🎵

I love the little runs at the start, but I feel like the attacks for each of those are slightly too hard? It sounds like it kind of clips a little bit. I could definitely dance to something like this, so I think the title was very fitting. Nice work overall! I enjoyed :)

Developer(+1)

Yes, the clipping you hear on each attack of the synthesizer comes from the synthesizer itself—that's just how it sounds by default. I tried equalizing and compressing, but I couldn’t get rid of that attack sound. I would have liked to remove it as well since, as you mentioned, it seems to create a loud clip. Thank you very much for your comment! 👌

I enjoyed the rock section and the bell melody was quite fitting. IMO the synth saw could've used a filter to tame some of the higher frequencies to let the bell stand out a bit more. Still, a very cool song.

Developer

Yes, I would have liked to give more prominence to some instruments, such as the bells and the bass. I’ll probably go back to working on my project later to improve a few aspects. Thanks for your comment!
