Hope you enjoy!

Sure thing!

Thank you!

These are all good questions! A lot of the answers to these are going to be because the game isn’t 100% complete. (The final edition is crowdfunding starting today!)

  • The intended combat map is a zone map, as described on page 20. You can do hexes or something if you want but if you do, keep maps a little small: like 10x10 at most, otherwise high speed is too much of an asset. We intend to include some sample zone maps in the Titanic Eclipse Edition .
  • This is something we intend to expand upon, but for now it’s a little unexplored. Maybe roll up your friendly/neutral/hostile factions and say that the mission is for the friendly one against the hostile one. Up to you really.
  • Yeah basically. It’s a little faster than the hexflower method, it’ll get you something close to Power Vacuum in the book.
  • We are intending to add a few more oracles to help with this kind of thing but yeah, if you feel there should be a detail, you can establish one and then decide how you want to act on it. (Some of those kinds of things have more valence in one kind of mission as opposed to another: if you’re here to meet a contact, a ship requesting assistance might be your goal!)

Hell yeah!

Glad to hear it!

Yes.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Thank you! Kind of figured you in particular would, haha

Thank you!

Someone’s made a google-sheet for it (the same person as for the base game), I just haven’t gotten around to uploading it yet. No VTT integration but at the same time this isn’t really a game that needs a lot of calculation, it’s pretty easy to run without it.

Sure.

(1 edit)

Ideally, yes. Please read the instructions next time.

If it’s a more generalized system (as described in your “what are you working on” post), it might make more sense to leave it at that for now and make the adventure/archetypes in more focused iterations.

That’s fine, just making sure you knew!

The page’s restricted! Not sure if you were still working on it or what.

No problem at all!

No worries! Just making sure you knew.

I think this is still restricted?

Glad you liked it! I do have some lists of such in The Man’s section.

One die unless otherwise noted.

No problem!

It’s mostly pretty subtle wording. Biggest one is carbine should be SMG-shaped now.

For example: say I have a processor adjacent to a shield with 10 capacity, and I take 4 damage on the processor. I understand I would the shield generator to 6 capacity & not lose HP, but is the processor still damaged as a result?

The processor would not be damaged, the shield would just go down to 6 capacity.

If I instead took that damage to the shield, would it be damaged?

Direct hits on a shield take off double capacity, so if it hit the shield directly, it would go down to 2 capacity. The shield generator itself would not be damaged.

Good catch, appreciate the heads up!

I forgot to post it here in my own dang topic! I submitted a “hack” of Slayers to make it more of a heist game. (It’s a “hack” because it’s basically just taking the spirit of heavy asymmetry plus the resolution method to a more out-there conclusion).

That’ll be a no, but I appreciate the attempt.

Thank you so much!

Sure that’s fine. Title’s there mostly so people don’t submit video games.

I wanna hear about it!

Feel free, as long as the submitted output matches the requirements set.

The intent (at the moment anyway) is that you have it as long as it’s installed, but if it ever gets destroyed you can’t replace it.

No worries! Lot of text in there.

As noted in the overview:

In the same spirit, I encourage you to not style any itch page you make for it during the jam, but do what you want! If you do, I suggest you add a cover image of the title or something so it shows up properly on itch and maybe a few choice screenshots.

Preferably not.

I would avoid it for now, but definitely keep it in mind for post-jam cleanup!

I’ve made an amendment that you can submit plaintext or un-processed markdown for your noted entry accessibility reasons. Beyond that, the terms of this jam are not negotiable.

Hi! No, please read the instructions and use one of those methods.

Yeehaw! 🤠

Yessssss love a good scenario editor
