The output GIF will not have transparency or transparent color.
You will need to add transparent color to the output GIF in a different way.

There is no function to output sprite sheets in PNG format.
This tool is not a tool for editing sprite sheets in the first place, so I don't think you will need it. (This tool loads your own sprite sheet, creates animations, shoots them, or applies them to other pico8 projects.)

Thank you for using the demo version.
I tried it in my environment and confirmed that it works. (MacOS14.1 MacBook Air)
It's a little strange that only ADD and COLOR work.

Don't these work too?

  • Can you select vertices?
  • After adding two triangular faces, can you select each other's vertices and then JOIN?
  • Can you select all vertices with ctrl + A?
  • Can you copy it to any coordinates with ctrl + D while it is selected?


One thing I have to apologize for is that the current version does not support Mac's Command key, so you need to use the Ctrl key.

The procedure for exporting and importing animation will be a little longer (it would be easier if you could paste animation data directly from the clipboard...).

  • 0. Export the animation data as text in advance. It would be a good idea to import the sprite sheet in advance as well. (This time we will use the attachment file.)
  • 1. Select +MAP from the FILE UTILITY button. (The rectangle selection code will be copied to the clipboard.)
  • 2. Paste and run into the console of the new cart.
  • 3. The MAP area will be displayed, so select the rectangle where you want to paste the animation.
  • 4. Return to SPRANIM-KIT and paste the rectangle data. (Steps 2 and 3 are not necessary if you directly input the rectangle value.)
  • 5. Now that the data import code has been copied to the clipboard, run it in the cart from step 2.
  • 6. DROP FILE will be displayed, so drop the animation data.txt.

This completes the import to another cart.You can also copy the sample code to play that animation. (FILE UTILITY -> +CODE)

PICO-8 provides a good space to make little games! However, when you try to make a large scale game (including KONSAIRI), the opposite is true: development starts to go a long way. As such, the original cart for this game should be pretty hard to decipher. I plan to open up the libraries, frameworks, and other parts of the game that I use for the cart to share explanations and know-how if the game is somewhat popular. Thanks for taking a look!
