Hello everyone, my name is Bohdan. Without any unnecessary introductions or prefaces.
Last summer, I broke up with my girlfriend, which really shattered me. To get back on track, I decided to participate with my friends in the Ukrainian Visual Novel Jam 3. I tried to pour all my feelings and experiences from the breakup into the script for our novel, including all the dilemmas, hurt, anger, disappointment, and pain.
Although we didn't win the contest, we received positive feedback, which was very gratifying. Without much thought, we decided to continue developing our game and release it on Steam.
Now, to the main part of this topic. During the development process, as a practicing marketer, I began to develop a promotion strategy for our game. I have been working in marketing for over 6 years in various niches, but I had never promoted games before. This led to my small book on promoting indie games without a budget.
I wrote this guide and put it up for sale to raise funds for further development of our novel, as we needed the services of external specialists.
In this guide, I covered the following topics:
- How to design your page on Steam.
- How to promote and what content to create for social media.
- How to communicate and choose influencers.
- How to build and nurture communities around your game.

And much more. I would be very grateful if you read my guide, thus supporting the development of our novel. I'm confident the information will be useful for your games! Thank you for your time!
