All in all, the game is fun and entertaining. The gameplay is smooth and well thought out; it did a good job of keeping me entertained. However, I did notice a couple of areas where the game could be improved to enhance the player experience further.

One minor issue I had was with the combat system: if you stand in one spot, you can hit the enemies before they even try to attack you. While this could be seen as a strategic element, it may inadvertently make combat less challenging and intense. Balancing this aspect, such as with smarter enemy AI or attack patterns, could make battles more dynamic and engaging for players.

I feel, too, that the enemy spawning needs a little more work, whereby at times, the cadence and placement of the spawn is a bit too predictable or not different enough; that can somewhat lower replayability and any sense of excitement in the encountering of new ones. The inclusion of more randomized or creative spawns—for instance, wave-like attacks, surprise spawns, or triggering through environmental interaction—would really raise the level of challenge and uncertainty.

Another point was the absolute lack of sound effects and audio cues in some parts of the game. Audio helps with immersion and atmosphere, and adding appropriate sounds—like the noises of enemy attacks, environmental effects, or background music—could enhance the overall feel of the game immensely. These would make the world feel more alive and, at the same time, give better feedback to the player while in-game, making it all much more polished and engaging.

All in all, while these elements make for a great game, a better-enacted enemy AI, spawning system polish, and richer audio design will go a long way to elevate the experience, making the game much more immersive and engaging for the players.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game and found the concept, theme, and unique gameplay mechanics to be incredibly engaging. It stood out as one of the most original entries in the game jam. That said, there are a few areas that could use some refinement.

One major issue I encountered was with the camera being positioned on the left side. This made it challenging to locate and eliminate all the enemies needed to meet the win conditions. On one occasion, I spent a significant amount of time searching for the last enemy, who was partially off-screen. Adding a text element to indicate how many enemies remain and center the camera  would greatly improve the experience by giving players clearer guidance.

Additionally, while I think the switching mechanic is an innovative and creative feature, it didn’t seem to affect the way I was attacking enemies. It’s possible I was using it incorrectly, but it might be worth revisiting its implementation to ensure its impact on gameplay is more noticeable.

Overall, I had a great time playing this game and believe it has the most original concept among the entries. With a few bug fixes and some quality-of-life improvements, it could become an even more polished and enjoyable experience!

I found this game truly fascinating, especially with its unique blend of a semi-open fighting game and a beat-'em-up style. This combination made it stand out from the other entries in the game jam. I really enjoyed the open-world elements and how the increasing number of enemies ramped up the challenge, even though it wasn’t immediately obvious at first.

That said, I felt the game could benefit from more feedback when hitting enemies—adding animations or sound effects would make the combat feel more impactful and satisfying. Additionally, an enemy health bar would be a great addition, giving players clearer insight into the damage they’ve dealt and how much more effort is needed to defeat their opponents.

Overall, the concept is highly engaging, and the foundation is solid. With improvements to the animations, sound design, and certain aspects of gameplay, this game has the potential to be truly exceptional!

I thoroughly enjoyed the game overall. The style and theme are fantastic, evoking a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of fighting worms with a bronze sword in Terraria. It’s easily one of the best entries in the game jam for its unique aesthetic and engaging gameplay.

That said, I did encounter a few areas that could use some fine-tuning. The combat occasionally felt inconsistent, where attacks that seemed like they should connect didn’t register damage. Additionally, the difficulty spike with the final boss caught me off guard; while not overly frustrating, it felt significantly harder compared to the rest of the game and might benefit from slight balancing.

Another observation was with the combat mechanic—repeatedly tapping the attack key (F) allowed me to avoid damage almost entirely, which diminished the challenge. I also noticed that if I delayed exploring the other side of the map, a large stack of 15+ enemies would accumulate, making it difficult to progress.

Despite these minor issues, the game is incredibly well-designed and fun to play. It’s a standout experience that I thoroughly enjoyed, with just a few adjustments needed to perfect it.

Was unable to play game so I will not rate it
but the idea of the game itself sounds very interesting
