The puzzles in this game are super fun and well designed. I also really like the story and humor and piecing together a hangover is a fun interpretation of the theme.

Yeah, the game definitely assumes that the player has some knowledge of poker hands and will make some assumptions about mechanics. I just updated the GitHub repo's README with the full set of rules for the card game if you are still interested in playing. And hey, if the game is still confusing you understand what it's like to play cards with my family :)
Fair enough, I was hoping that there would be some strategy around saving good cards like pairs or 4 of the same suit during low value rounds but I can definitely see if the game is too dependent on luck of the draw. I mostly chose to base it on poker hands to make it more accessible when there isn't much of a tutorial by design. Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for all the compliments, I'm glad the overall vibe I was going for carried through. I agree it might be nice if it were a bit easier to get big hands, but I also didn't want it to be too easy to find those hands. Maybe increasing the player hand size to 10 would have been a better balance (and allow the player to keep a straight or flush in their hand when they can't play it)
One of the most fun games I've played from the jam. The AI was pretty buggy, making the stealth easy and combat unnecessary, but the puzzle gameplay was very fun. I was often confused by what items in my inventory actually did and I never figured out how to order the letters but it was still a lot of fun. I like that the timer adds some urgency to the game.
I like the style and feeling of exploration in this game. It is a lot of fun to discover the levels. I do think with how large the levels are it would be nice if progress saved more often. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but when I fell into the water with multiple lives the enemies I had killed were alive and invisible again.
This game is super fun, I could see myself getting addicted to an expanded version of it. It also felt like the perfect difficulty and progression. It would be nice to be able to inspect all of the cards you have in your deck so you can think about what cards might be hidden and to help plan synergies when choosing new cards.
