Hello all!

We have noticed that many people in the target age demographic for this Jam who live in certain areas may have exams this upcoming January. We don't want to interrupt your study, so we are giving a three-week extension to the timer! This does not mean your story has to be any longer.

Hope this helps all students who may have entered!

-  Cadrio, Founder and Organiser of the Jam.

Hey! Thanks so much! You clearly put a lot of effort into it, and I really grateful to get a game this year! As someone who is going through depressive waves, I know that mental health is a pain in the ass, so it's completely fair to take a break from something as silly as a video game.

Excited to see this updated in the future! Please update me whenever you get the time to update this (If you chose to, that is, no pressure!)

Merry Christmas!

Contestants get to vote, but if the prize does get given out, there will be a judge.

Not in the slightest. But if it's written well, its grand.

Ah. Makes sense in that case!

How have you written 11 chapters in 1 day?

Well, it doesn't have to be meaningful, but for the reader's sake I would recommend it taking itself somewhat serious. But if you mean funny, then that's completely fine.

Also wth is that ominous message?

Depends what you mean by serious?

Sorry, what I mean by this is don't make the only way to access your story a untrustable download BC nobody really wants to get malware in this jam (not saying anyone would try make malware and disguise it as a book, but idea still stands.)

Yes! They will! (Sorry for late response)

Because you now have to pay for the full version, can you make the demo "Play in browser?

I love the way so many people see constructive criticism and just downvote immediately

Thank you! Have you beat the whole thing?

Nice!

This is not a game. This is ART. I find it difficult to think that a human being made this game of such perfection. I think this may be the greatest thing to exist of the twenty first century. Such understanding of the humour of the new generation! Such amazing graphic design! Such amazing use of grammer! Extremely deep and meaningful story, with unique characters. Truly, if this does not win game of the year, nothing will. 13.2/5 mangos from me.

So I think you have the right idea, but the wrong way of saying it. You are saying scratch is a difficult engine to learn, and also time consuming, especially for games that are 3d? Is that closer in line to what you are trying to say or not?

I apologies if this appeared to look mean or insultive, and I was not attempting to bring toxicity to the community. I was only trying to defend an engine that is commonly hated on simply because a lot of low quality games have been made with it. I shall try not to appear aggressive when making comments related to this community from now on.

Oki! Thanks for answering!

Are games ranked on an all as equal scale, or a quality by effort scale?

Just a simple reminder that I beat you by 4600 places in GMTK using this so called "Not propper game engine".
Sorry if this is a bit harsh, but learn the difference between bad engine and unskilled coders.

Being someone who has used scratch for 7 years, I'd completely agree, but something tells me that people who use three exclamation marks or can't spell "which" correctly aren't exactly the same people making games like Crystal Seeker or  Chirpy Reverie.

Congrats on the top 20 ranking!

Thanks!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much! Sorry about the slippy controls. I feel I'm so much more happy with the finished product this year.

Really cool! Felt like combat could be more interesting but other than that great game!

Ye, this was a bit of a buggy mess.

I never finished this one, but at least this year I got an actually finished game done!

Art is really cool! Sorry that you weren't able to finish it code wise.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks! I really like describing it as "zen", its not a word I'd normally think of but fits the game quite nicely!

Thanks for the positivity! :D

Sorry about the slipperyness.

Thank you!

THANKS SO MUCH! :D
