I really like the concept of this game ! It just works !

I’m sad there was no music or audio :(

Also, maybe the blocs could move more smoothly.

Great entry ! Continue making games !

Very cute game with a lot of funnies. It’s kinda sad it lacks content. I wanted to see more :) I made a nice kitchen though.

Very impressive game It looks similar in concept to a game i want to make, albeit more complex. The puzzle are very well made and congratulations on that! I often got stuck but it never was frustrating. Good job!

You can still download some royalty free music ;)

This game is so hard ! More polish and playtest beforehand would have helped.

-- Positives --

Funny Art
Responsive controls and nice HUD elements
The controls are easy to understand

-- Negatives --

The collisions are frustrating : they stop your momentum immediately
Ice physics + Hard climbing = ohno!
Lack of audio

I love the art style! Some level are repetitive and a twist on mechanics was missing. Cool experience nonetheless!

The art style and the sound design are neat. The game wants you to go fast but you get punished instantaneously but doing so. The game would be far more enjoyable if the projectiles were more sparse and slower so you can react easily ( at least at the beginning ). Also, not sure about the theme.

I really like the art style of the game. The game lacks some music and some interraction. Besides playing cards, I think the user is too passive. But I guess it was the goal as it aims at being a simulation.

This game reminds me of Brotato. Maybe some inspirations. I like the scaling abilities. The art style is relaxing also. I couldn't select the second option while leveling up and beware and the CTRL + W combo when figuring out the controls :)

Really liked the music and the art style. I got stucked on the third level sadly.

Hey, pillar hunters!

Want to improve the game by adding/changing something? Feel free to reply with your suggestions below!

Hey, pillar hunters!

This post is here to reference all the current bugs and glitches in the game in order to fix them in future updates!

Feel free to reply with your game breaking discoveries!

Cute game :D

What a wonderful game !

The animations and the sprites are cute and funny ! The music is catchy.

Good job noblelemon !

Nice ! But where are the explosions ?

Thank you for the review and for testing the demo.

Yeah as you could see, a lot of stuff is still missing in this demo. As for the suggestion of putting the cards to the left, I tried it but it felt too cluttered.

Of course, a little bit of story is planned, other cards will be implemented, the ability to remove cards from your Deck permanently too.

If you have any more suggestions, feel free to share them !

PS There will be horses soon I hope !

And an even more impressive update will come ! Revamping a LOT of things in order to make the game more enjoyable.

Tomorrow

Yes please go on !

I thought imposing a theme was too limiting and I wanted people to create whatever comes to their mind. At least for this particular jam which already has special rules.

I have no idea if I'm going to host another one

Yes, this is exactly how I'm going to do it !

It would be easier if you send them all at once :)

Yes and yes!

This is a good recycling idea.

You can create a prototype right now but be sure it will be compatible with the still unknown assets you will receive.

The deadline for submitting assets is when the countdown will say 14 days remaining. You can send the assets you have created before if they are finished

When people will play the finished games, if the developer doesn't credit, there is no way to know the author of the assets.

I'm not asking you to credit them, to be clear!

(1 edit)

You can send anything you have created !!!

I think the assets create shoud be C0 (public domain) to avoid any issue.
About the shuffling : I was going to take all the files, and distribute each elements randomly.
I can rename the files so the author is specified, but then I fear that at the game, players wouldn't see who made the assets.

I think it's your local time

Of course you can work together!

The art style is really good, and the music is cool ! However it is way too luck based, I couldn't beat level 1 because I had no card to step forward multiple times in a row

Hello everyone, my name is Val and I'm currently developing a roguelite called "A thist for eternity".

SYNOPSIS & OBJECTIVE

In a far-away region, a legend tells that a potion that grants immortality exists and that only a pure being pure can  obtain it. Believing in this lengend, hundreds of people are risking their life to get it.

The objective of the game is to survive numerous encounters and to finally obtain this potion and drink it.

The combat is turn-based and similar to Slay the Spire's.

SCREENSHOTS

KEY FEATURES

You don't know what your potions do until you use them at least once. Each potion can be thrown or drunk, to affect the enemy or yourself. In the final version, I plan having a lot of synergies between different potions.

ALSO I NEED TESTERS PLEASE :'(

It is really tough to test everything out and I feel like I'm really bad at balancing stats / price / rewards. That's why I'd like feedback on those points in particular if possible.

I also have a discord server dedicated to the development of this game if you want to discuss and/or talk about your experience :

Thank you a lot! Yes it was called 'The Elixir of Immortality'
