thanks for the comment, i wanted to change some of the tiles to make them look  more like background so the 'stepable' tiles could stick out more, but ran out of time so that's on me :P

They bring you closer to an end

lame jam 40 community · Created a new topic Hell yeah

Although im on search for money prizes in game jams, im a noob, insecure, haven't managed to realease a single "game". So im thankful there are jams like these, in which you just create a game following a theme, try your best, no winners no losers, just you and your game on a deadline.

I hope I make a good game for this jam.

I didn't want to block the vision, so i made it tell you how many cats you had each time you wanted to use the door.

Had to check why so many reviews, and yeah, pretty cool  game, amazing work mate.

(1 edit)

happens, yeah, you work many times on the same level, you get familiar with it and keep raising the difficulty because you think its too easy, but you nailed the puzzles, they require some skill but they're pretty fun to solve, wish you the best for the jam!

There was no option to make it bigger, i had a different concept in mind when first started, as i progressed, the game changed and i forgot to change the viewport size because i got acustomed to it, will fix it after the jam completely ends!

I made the viewport small on purpose due to a different mechanic i had in mind, forgot to remove it because i got acustomed to working using that resolution hahaha

Love the style, the mechanics, and the interpretation, nice game! Im surprised you managed to make so many levels, the puzzles get pretty hard.

I loved the gameplay, you should add some kind of leaderboard, idk, the loop is pretty fun.

Skipped the tutorial, fought some boss for around 10 minutes, didn't know if i win or lose, loved the game!

It crashed, it was fun tho. Can you win?

How did you manage to make all this in just a week?? Good game!

Recorded my playthrough, if you don't mind, fun game!

As the moment i make this comment, the video is private because yt is still processing it ;p

Might actually give it a try after getting some sleep, love the graphics, gl on the jam.

Its 3 am and i need to make the music for the game lmaooo

Sounds great, i also thought about that, but changed my mind after trying to develop the mechanics in my head. I am kind of stuck too, due to homework and my f-up sleep schedule, i've decided to cut content from the game in order to release it in time for the jam, i hope people still like it, its a pretty simple game but i think it'll be fun to play at least one time.

I HAVE ACHIEVED PEACE, I KNOW WHAT TO DO

Have you watched a tutorial on how to export Godot games to Itch? I imagine you do, but just in case, i've watched these two:

I've only exported to HTML one time, it worked correctly using the 2nd video, make sure everything you've developed was done using Godot's compatibility mode, some nodes don't work on HTML and compatibility disables or at least warns you to not use them.

Just wanting to know what others think, i've had some ideas and most of them put the "Size Matters" outside of the game, i imagine the basic thing to do would be a game in which the player or the objects change size, i have that in my .txt of ideas too, since im a complete beginner and also a solo dev, should i try going for that? Not that the other ideas are that much more complicated, but the message of "Size Matters" could be lost.

That aside, what i really want to know is how you're feeling about the "Size Matters" part of the game you're developing or planning to develop. Good luck to everyone!

It asks about the game title and the genre, since the jam's theme hasn't been anounced, i believe i can answer the form after the jam starts, right?

Sorry if this question is too obvious but i wanted to ask so i don't end up messing it up, like maybe i need to answer it before or it is asking me about a game im developing currently, maybe i can skip those steps since im not developing a game rn. Thanks in advance. Wish yall luck!

Sneaky mf appeared as i turned around like 3 times in a row, big fan, didn't think it would spook me the amount of times it did.

Recomendation for anyone with low FPS, lower shadows, 0 for best, it may feel bad but i've jumped from 30 to 60 just by turning 1 to 0 on shadows.
