yeah, a tutorial is something that i just didn't have time for, but I'm going to add one in a future update.

glad you liked it!

haha yeah, there's a chunk of the zone meter that doesn't empty at the end, I'll fix that in a future update.

thanks for playing!

Hi!

Here's my game, hoping to do some rating this afternoon!

https://itch.io/jam/virtual-pet-jam/rate/1366344

thank you so much for playing! i’m happy you enjoyed it!

I really liked the mechanics! I enjoyed how both characters moved in different ways, and sticking them together was a fun touch! Great job!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I will definitely keep creating games, and hopefully by next year I'll be able to make something that'll really blow everyone out of the water!

Thanks, the flags were my favourite touch haha! I definitely didn't think about a restart until after the deadline, so maybe I'll add it in after the voting period is over. Thanks for playing!

I really like this idea! It's fun to play and figure out how to solve the puzzles.

I wasn't a fan so much of the sound effects, they're quite loud and don't really fit the aesthetic of the game. Great job otherwise!

This is an exceptional first game jam game. Great idea, good execution. Loved it!

I love the concept, the music was great, and love the Zelda vibes. I ended up running into a game breaking bug quite late into my playthrough where I clipped into a wall and couldn't get back out, however. Needs a bit more polish, but a great effort!

I'm not going to say anything new that other people haven't said in the comments. The concept is great, it just needs some more polish. Not bad for 48 hours work though!

I really liked the idea behind this! The humor is fun and the gameplay mechanics are cool too. I did find my bee getting stuck going through doors sometimes, and the music doesn't quite loop very well, but all in all I had a fun time playing this! Good job!

I love the character design and art, and the music was great as well. The mechanics were fun as well! I loved sucking up the other slimes, lol.

I did notice that there were some invisible wall issues on corners, and it would be great if the slime moved a little bit faster, but all in all, I had a great time playing it! Well done!

Simple, but fun! Great idea!

Fair enough! I got halfway into this concept when I realized that puzzle design wasn't really in my wheelhouse. That's why I did this though, to learn! Thanks for playing!

A very relaxing chill experience. Great stuff!

A really unique take on a tower defense game!

This mechanic is great! I hope you continue to work on it after the jam is over!

This is great! Love the art style and music! It's a fun little game!

So much fun! I love the concept! The music is great!

Very fun and simple design, yet quite difficult to play! I love the aesthetic and music as well!

Thanks! I purposely wanted them to move in slightly different ways, otherwise I thought it would be too easy
