How does your entry adhere to the theme "virtual pet"?
Virtual Pet Defender is a cross between a virtual pet and a tower defence game! Build towers to defend your friend, but be careful, because each type of tower is linked to one of your pet's vital stats! The more towers you build, the quicker the stats deplete!

Keep your pet in The Zone by keeping your pet's stats high enough in order to strengthen your towers! Be careful, because if The Zone meter drops all the way to zero, the game is over

A really clever combination of genres! One of the stand out games of the jam for me. I'd love to see you expand on this concept!

Pretty clever idea! I had thought a bit about tower defense as a mash up, but not in this way!


Balancing between the levels would make this feel better and extend a play session (I got about 5 minutes before I was soft exited by the rising costs of purchases).  Maybe a way to be able to reduce the cost of items , I'm not sure, but either way , fun game

Really nice game!
Liked the music and the art style a lot. 

Could have used some tutorialization in game, but otherwise a really unique concept!

Cool game, I like the visuals. The zone meter ended the game before it hit 0, or at least the bar wasn't fully "drained". But that may be my fault for trying to min max it lol.


Also, slime spotted.

haha yeah, there's a chunk of the zone meter that doesn't empty at the end, I'll fix that in a future update.
