Neat game! I agree with most of the other comments. In addition to some way to encourage players to move around more, I also think maybe some differentiation between the players looks could be nice, like making the mouse-controlled character red and the arrow controlled character blue. Great work overall though!
Cool! we also made a Unreal game! The concept fits the theme well, but execution could use a little more polish, but not bad for a jam game!
Thanks for the review. I checked out your game and its fantastic. Great work.
I tried to stay in the middle the entire time and it was a lot more fun that way, it ended up being me matching my keyboard movement with my mouse movement but that was still an interesting challenge.
Thanks for the review. Yes currently I guess the game is more of a POC and I will try to add more stuff later based on the feedback from others.
hahahaha I have been confused when I see the video that the guys catch the barrel. So I did in my first round and the red bar also suggest I made progression. 😂😂
Yeah currently if u hit the barrel with a character then the barrel just disappears but nothing happens to the player. Something I have to look into. Thanks for playing.
I'm not going to say anything new that other people haven't said in the comments. The concept is great, it just needs some more polish. Not bad for 48 hours work though!
Thanks for the review. I have taken everyone's feedback into consideration and will work on them later.
Great job! definitely could use some additional logic to stop you from just being able to sit at the top of the level, but great concept.
Thanks for the review. Yeah I'll try to add more stuff and mechanics later.
Pretty fun concept, the game became a bit easy once I just moved the players together.
Great graphics, Well done!
Yeah I have some ideas to discourage players from keeping the 2 charcaters together. I'll look into it. Thanks.
Overall cool idea. Its an fun little minigame. Sadly it isnt too much fun. The main problem is that you can just stay in either the top or the bottom to outplay the game. Maybe some code that puts the obstacles where the Bots are could make this game more interessting.
Yeah I am aware of the issue. The original idea was to progress through the level instead of surviving the game forever and also to add walls so that you don't outplay the game. But I ran out of time. Will look into these issues. Thanks.
Cool mechanic ;) Really good particle effects and the overall look is also nice! Adds to the experience. Control is a little off with having to move one character with the mouse (maybe add ArrowKeys to control the other guy like mine? Should be a very quick fix). Nicely done!
Great advice. Yes after playing your game I realized that your control scheme is better. Thanks.
i would suggest to not use this bright (red) of as color for displays since it isn't pleasant to the eyes. Nice concept, right now the product feels like a proof of concept so is definetly worth to develop further.
Thanks for the feedback. I was actually trying to do something different for the UI but now even i think it is too bright. Will look into it.
I like the concept and it looks nice!
I would suggest adding some walls so you can't just stand slightly off screen and farm points and also maybe make the WASD guy's cable be attached at the center of the guy instead of in front? Turning around can get you killed because the cable just moves in front of you.
That is some really good advice. I did think about adding walls and adjusting the cable on the other bot but due to time constraint I had rush the build. Will look into it. Thanks.
Interesting concept to use both mouse and arrow to move 2 characters, good job!
Thanks.
Needed Microsoft Visual C++ to run. :( Sorry!
Did your forgot to tick the prerequisites installer in Unreal ;-)
I have tested builds on other systems and it didn't ask me to download visual c++. Maybe I overlooked a setting. I'll try to fix it in the next build.
