its hard to find any flaws with with this ost, it sets a nice atomsphere with pretty melodies and executes the ideas very well
not much else to say
good ole spitfire labs soft piano lol
anyways, nice soundtrack! the harmonies on the first track r v pretty and the repeating arpeggio in the second track is memorable. the descending chords in the second track r also very cool to add a change up to the track. the instruments u chose r fitting makes the whole thing sound nice and chill.
I think it just needs some more production to add more details to support the melodic and harmonic ideas u already have down. the instruments all feel a bit dry at the moment and the tracks feel like they're missing something because of that
otherwise, nice work
all the instruments r so pretty in this! very clean production, the mix is well balanced and the sound choices r fitting for the fantastical orchestral vibe ur going for. there r many interesting moments in the harmony as well, made the whole thing not repetitive at all. i can definitely see the ghibli inspiration, tho im less familiar with ff so idrk about that. moments like 0:58 r rlly beautiful and nice
on the other hand, i personally found that the lack of repetition made it somewhat hard to follow. although the variety of different harmonies is cool, the sheer amount of variation along with no easily recognizable/catchy melody to latch onto made me feel a bit lost. another very specific nitpick i have is that the string swells' release feels a bit too short all the time. sometimes i felt like it was catching up to the rest of the song due to how it gradually comes in then disappears suddenly so ofte. i think there are parts where having longer, more sustained notes wouldve helped
otherwise, nice job on such a detailed and varying soundtrack
yea lmao i was adding stuff to it last minute :)) there r 2 delays on the tick tock sound, one being the stock fl plugin fruity delay 3 with a ping pong delay which is the main echo and the other being lagrange which is a pretty interesting granular delay plugin (at least thats what it calls itself) that add more detailed echoes to the main echoes. u can make some pretty crazy sounds with lagrange so u should check it out (its free ). im glad u liked the track!
oo yea i can definitely understand the underground feeling. thats kinda what i was imagining actually, but less fantasy like hollow knight and more scifi like nier automata.
and !! i love the hld ost ; disasterpeace has made some great music. the hld ost has been a big influence for me especially since i dont play games or listen to ost's that much. sometimes im afraid my ost type music sounds too similar to it stylistically tbh, but im glad it reminded u of my fav ost :))
this is a great little sound track
i rlly liked the synth sounds that were used and the switchups for both of the songs didnt feel rlly abrupt yet were still rlly different from the other parts of each song. also cool that the second track is in an odd time signature (but didnt feel jarring!)
i rlly enjoyed it
