Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Definitely could be improved, I also have a few ideas for new variations to add to the puzzles. But wanted to test the waters a bit with just the basic rules.

I added the game here on itch: https://cofi17.itch.io/qubes It's a simple game made for when you don't want to think too much amd relax a bit. I am looking into publishing it on the google play store, but they have the new rule of having to go through a closed testing first with minimum of 20 users for 14 days at least 😬 so it' gonna be though...

I completly understand, my github is a graveyard.

I started working on a simple relaxing mobile puzzle game. But I eventually grew bored by the project/wanted to work on other things, but I also wanted to add a lot of features which ultimately demotivated me because I had a feeling that the results will not be worth the time it would take to finish it.

But after competing in this game jam I felt empty and this project was in the back of my mind from the moment I gave up on it so I decided to finish it. I reduced the scope for 1.0 a lot and actually had a working version in a matter of days (most likely because I have a lot more experience now than when I started).

I just wanted to share my gratitude to the community, reading through struggles of others made me to not feel lonely on this journey anymore.

And I want to encourage others that if you have a project that is occupying space in your mind, go finish it, reduce the scope until you think that the result will be worth the effort, you can always add more content later.

Looks much better yeah! Don't worry I got things I am facepalming about not including or changing in time as well. Happened to all of us I imagine.

Could not get the hang of the rythim unfortunately. But the game looks and sounds amazing. Congrats!

And cozy it is, would love to see this more expanded. Great game feel!

Great puzzle game, visuals are awesome and polished, love the different mechanics of different flammables. Love the use of the timer to make the player rush a bit and get himself on fire. Happend to me a lot.

But personally I would rather know exactly how many sparks I get via a number rather than trying to gauge it through the progress bar.

Loved the game!

Got a win on my first try, felt really good! Would have loved if I could have seen the enemies movement range + attack range so I could plan my turns more strategically.
Good job!

The game that makes you feel and think is a good game. Loved the game, good job!

Great job! Love the atmosphere and mystery of this game I just kept wondering what is going on here and can I help these characters? The sounds are amazing and the attack feels great, really nailed it! And love the use of the theme here as well, really creative!

Some constructive feedback:

- the text that appears during the dungeon since its the main character talking it should probably appear in a little bubble above the player character mostly because I am afraid to look away during gameplay to read anything since enemies quickly jump at you and it's costly to get hit.

-after a certain point where the visible range gets too small you can no longer see the enemies until they already jump at you and you can hardly react to that, so at that point the run already feels over

I absolutely love the mechanic of the sword swing, great job! I can see it incorporated into different genres and working wonderfully.

And the sounds are amazing in this game!

One thing: when tutorial starts and the player moves around you should force the player to go exactly where you want to. I say that because even though you spawn next to the cave entrance I immediately went down to explore the open lands... just goes to show that players really are stupid 😂

Thank you!! And thanks for the feedback, I agree it is annoying, don't know how I missed that during development.
