Greetings, fellow gamers! 🎮👋
Guess what? From Wednesday, September 27th to Saturday, September 30th, War of the Geeks is about to embark on an epic adventure at the Game Devs of Color Expo 2023, and we couldn't be more excited (well, maybe just a smidge). Our game has found its cozy spot in the Webgames Showcase of the GDoCExpo virtual world in Bramble – it's like we've got our own little gamer nook! 🌐🕹️
No need to put on your detective hat to find it; just mosey on over to the arcade room during the "Community Connections" sessions on the conference schedule. Our game will be there, ready to entertain you like your favourite game buddy. 🚀🎉
And if you're thinking, "Wait, I need a ticket for this awesome adventure!" fear not, my friend. We've got your back with an exclusive 10% discount. Just use this link to join the gaming party: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/645375664987/?discount=gdoc10
So, get ready to laugh, connect, and game on with us at the Game Devs of Color Expo 2023. It's going to be a blast, and we can't wait to see you there! 👾🚀
P.S: Or if you'd rather check out the game on Itch.io instead of going the expo, play it here:

HI SzajnaWorkshop, I tried to find your Discord username but somehow I couldn't. Can I please invite you to it?

Hi ShaneC, I'm wondering if you'd be interested to playtest a game similar to this that I've built over the past few months? I'd like to get your thoughts on it, especially in comparison with War of the Geeks. It's got gamepad integration, but would love to know which game (War of the Geeks vs Guilds n Glory) you think is better?
I've recently released this game that a friend and I made in 48 hours during a hackathon. I'd like to ask for feedback on specific areas focusing on the gameplay and control mechanics:
- How do you feel about using the mouse to control both the movement and the attack of your army of units?
- Do you think gamepad integration is suitable for this kind of gameplay?
You can play the game here:

Hi everyone!
I'm super excited to finally release War of the Geeks on itch.io. My friend and I did this game 6 years ago, but never really decided to release it. It was made during a hackathon, it took us 48 hours to complete and polish the game. The game won 3rd prize and was selected as people's choice.
Play it here:

Please let us know what you think of the game.
Thank you for listening and for your comments! I particularly enjoyed doing Knights Theme, but that's just because I did it after the jam, within 3 hours (I had 1 more hour if compared to the other themes, less pressure haha), so consequently it's not part of the submission. Thank you for your comment!! :)
Superman leitmotif here, not that it matters

Amazing composition and uniqueness of each theme. Neon Heights is RPG-ish I wanna go adventuring with it, Downtown Shade is jazzy, Midnight Metropolis is so chill I can picture driving through the city, but the Menu Theme, oh mannn, too bad I won't start the game coz I just want to chill and keep listening haha. Your mix is of amazing quality and I love the stereo panning too.
All of them fade out, are they meant to loop or will there be longer versions of them?
Oh man, this jam is chokefull of amazing compositions!!
Wow, by far I think your tracks have one of the best mix qualities, so 5-stars on quality on that!! Great composition too. I love your super awesome use of guitars here along with some synth samples for the motors. And the sitar (oud?) on the Overworld is so clear! What library did you use if I may know?
Very vibrant. The amount of work you put into it is amazing! Thanks for sharing the video. I love the Superman leitmotif being used in 2:10. Easily one of my favourites :)
The only thing for me is that the volume sounds a bit too low if compared with the other tracks that I've heard so far. Did you master it at -14 LUFS?
Wow, it sounds really cool. It feels like you're performing "Zero Steps Backward" freestyle :D
All 3 tracks sound amazing, and they are all unique in their own aspects. I can see you're a very versatile composer!
One question though, in "Global Warning" 1:03, the high notes runs, I can hear very nice panning. Did you automate the panning or did the library automatically do it for you? It sounds great :)
