I liked it! The concept was pretty fun and a nice twist, however gameplay wise I constantly found myself running into x- patients while I only have x+ humans.

Love the idea, But I think the random nature kind of dictates your gameplay experience.

Here's a cookie!

Hey hey!
Thanks for the feedback, it turned out the F key (Heal) was set to globally affect every unit with health as opposed to just the player! Never would have caught that on my own.

Update pushed: Check the Itch.io description for changes made.

Very simple and very fun.

I will say sucking blood is a bit finicky, as I will press up at people and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But using blood as a weapon against people that isn't a vampire is smart, since the limitation isn't "Lethal to all" just lethal.

I made it to the 45 second mark before the controls made it impossible to hit the dude behind me as I was trying to turn around.

The Idea behind the game was interesting, but it seemed to be a bit on the rushed side of things.

I also didn't really see the limitation of "Blood is Lethal" since there was no real blood.

If you were going for Flappy bird I would have examined how that game handled gravity and inputs. As you kind of go from 1 speed to -1 speed very instantly, while in flappy bird you usually do a quick jump up, then you gently sink back down until your speed increases so much you drop immediately to the floor.

If you need Software to develop art, I would reccomend GIMP2 to work on Pixel art, might be a fun project to refine this game a bit.

Looked a bit zoomed in to me, might be the Browser I was playing on.

The Gameplay was simple and clean, the graphics were good.

The villagers always had their pitchforks aimed at me blocking my projectile, kind of making it hard to defeat them at points.

I do like the whole avoid your blood pool idea, but I feel like at no point they were a threat, since to me it seemed like they despawned by the time you would walk back into them. Kind of making the threat a moot point. I like the idea! Execution needed a bit of thinking, like maybe they throw blow in your direction as a last resort.

Anyway you get a cookie.

Really fun game, last level was a little overkill if you want my honest opinion, but I really enjoyed my time, controls worked as expected, although flight seemed a little busted, as you could just fly indefinitely.

I think the Bloody spikes were a bit redundant... But overall, I approve.

Loved the game overall, controls was solid, I wish the P/O blocks were explained a bit better, I might have missed that however...

Basically, it was solid, looked great and I loved it to bits, but the use of blood was a bit undercooked... Maybe the Blocks could have been Red so they'd resemble blood cubes?
Anyway, you get a waffle with those pancakes.

Graphics looked nice, The game seemed to be set for a resolution WAY higher than what my monitor can even handle. Not sure if you worked on a super high resolution monitor, but the game looked like it really wanted to be full screen.

Player took up too much space and it was hard to see anything incoming until they were already in view.

Blood as a weapon was a good choice, I approve.

Here's a glass of milk to wash down all the cookies you ate.

I was not expecting to be immediately bombarded by crosses the moment I booted the game!

Main menu: I noticed the windowed version  cut off a majority of the screen, if you were using a canvas I'd probably change the UI from Physical space to Scale with screen. Since I could only see the game at max resolution (Might be different on different resolution types that aren't 16:9).

Also, probably not a good idea that the player can leave the game screen, at least crosses still fall even off screen(?)

Didn't see the blood, plenty of Crosses!

I like the idea of a simple game, but it kind of becomes a problem when I can button mash and then all I'm focusing on are the meteors?

I don't get the use of the limitation... I don't see much blood.

Jumping seemed a bit pointless, wouldn't go amiss.

But it's a good start! Keep it up!

Wacky and funny, can't say it fit the theme from what I played... But it was very goofy and light hearted and I liked it.

Controls were very sensitive, and kind of unwieldy as more vampires appear. But ultimately, very goofy, not serious at all. I love it.

You get cookie dough ice cream

I like the whole text adventure twist, although I didn't see much in terms of blood being dangerous, maybe I made the wrong choices...

Anyway, I liked my time with the game, and the "Speak your last words" segment got a chuckle.

You get a cookie.

I like the idea behind the game! I like the art style, reminds me of some old NES game (I can't remember it's name it was some kind of platformer, anyway).

It was kind of confusing to know where to go or even if there was a way to go.

The Limitation was... I think is the inverse of the intention. since Blood is kind of your life force, not exactly killing anyone... The lack of blood is what's killing you.

Liked how the light dims as you're closer to death. But it was a very confusing time, but not bad, I liked it.

0/10

Oh wait, typo, 10/10!

Animation was awesome! Controls were tight and responsive! Loved how the enemies not only drop blood to damage you but their attacks are actually infused with blood!

Did I mention the Animation was absolutely insanely charming? Because it is! You could make it a full game and it would fit so perfectly well.

You all get a cookie, AND a glass of milk each! Fantastic job! You smashed it!

Among us- Okay now that's out of my system.
I like the idea of the game! I don't really get what the knocking mechnic is supposed to do, I imagine it was designed to direct the AI towards that location to avoid blood. However It was just easier to ghost, kill someone, run away, wait until my suspicion is low, repeat until all is dead.

Overall, I think it has potential! But I feel like it was a bit undercooked in terms of execution.

LOVED how it looks, also love how it's not just a generic vampire, you did a nice twist, I appreciate it.

You get one cookie covered in strawberry jam.

I like the movement, I really do, it reminds me of Super Metroid but even tighter.

The "You died" button was completely illegable (Couldn't read) and I couldn't get past the second enemy... Not sure if I missed something.

When I died, I got a LOT of error from my browser, not sure what it was trying to do there...

I like the game! It's fun kind of fast action slash and Dash.
Music I can forgive, we can't all make music and we might not have had time.

I didn't get the whole Limitation in the game apart from the blood splatters slowing you down.

Honestly with more time this could be a really sick game, The Dash and slow down when you hit an enemy style is just awesome. If the gameplay was even faster this could be an awesome game!

You get one and a half cookies!

Let me get praise out of the way: The Art style is bloody brilliant, Maybe a bit confusing with some of the UI, but the overall look was brilliant!

The gameplay was simple... And I didn't get the goal asides from dodge things... So I dodged everything. I like the variation of things flying at you, but it didn't scream "Blood is Lethal" more "Don't get hit by random heads, Gravestones and Pumpkins". I get Random heads might have blood... But it didn't feature much.

You both get a cookie each!

Looks like the controls needed a bit more time in the oven, Jumping felt kind of floaty and at points I would pause in mid air?

Double Jump Mechanic was neat, but needed more visual clarity to when you can Double jump. You really did have to 'feel the impulse'.

I know the limitation was Blood is lethal, but I feel like the implementation was a bit "Oh yeah, blood rises and it kills you" And that's... It for the blood, you then have spikes and swords to avoid.

Graphically, I think the 3d sprites with the pure 2d sprites kind of clash. If you want 3d rendered sprites, go with that. If you want 2d pixel sprites, go with that.

Anyway you get half a cookie! Keep it up!

Love the Voice acting... But I was pretty lost in what I'm doing, what ingredients I added... What things ultimately meant.

The Blood being toxic as a narrative is pretty cool... But... I couldn't understand much else about the game asides from, research (Which I don't know what it does), Get Test Subjects (Same as the previous), Sleep (Same as the Previous two) and Adding ingredients.

Unless I missed a book or something, I don't quite get it?

I liked the game, but I feel like the concept was kind of missed... Like you have blood when you kill some enemies and you have green goo... The Green Goo hurts you, not the Actual blood.

The Weapon picking mechanic is neat! But I feel like asides from the ranged weapons, all the others were underwhelming.

You get half a cookie!

Honestly, I couldn't play the game.

The text was too slow (Need a skip button, or at least make it faster)
The Item you get is literally there, I pressed D trying to test out controls and just got stuck in an endless cutscene (Or seemed endless, some of the Dialogue got a chuckle from me so you get a point there).

Technical advice: Your HUD seemed to not be scaling to a resolution, It looked fine to me not on fullscreen but broke on full screen. Canvas scale to resolution is usually a good choice for that.

I'm not sure if there was much game besides from the dialogue and the first screen... As for the theme, I didn't see it since there was no real game as far as I played sorry to say.

Reccomend with Plant Versus Zombies Music.

Anyway, I like the idea, I like the idea of the story being Vampires going for you because they love the toxic blood you produced. I love how the vampires just look kind of dorky, it's charming in all honesty.

Critiques:
Black on dark Text is hard to read, If your background is dark, make text lighter to stand out.
Descriptions on items  need to show their stats (5hp, 1 dmg for example) since right now I know the Bloodbags are 3x of the Shooter's health.
The Vampire, and the fat vampires were a bit difficult to distinguish.
Made it to Dracula but I was nowhere near strong enough to defeat him, but that's more a balance issue that more time could have given.

Honestly I liked it alot, and the fact I can compare this to PvZ shows your execution was good. You did a great job, keep it up!

You get one Cranberry cookie to help fend off the Vampires.

Really good! I love the concept of a vampire who is specifically allergic to B+ blood, but hey, gotta B Positive when in the belly of the snake!

The Scrollbars were kind of hard to look at, since they looked like condensed circles to a point, I think Squares would be a better fit in all honesty.

The platforms seemed to be really difficult, and borderline requiring bat form to reach them, sometimes twice in a row, meaning I had to take damage from the blood. Good thing the Blood throws you up for another try!

I kept forgeting the shop existed during my run in all honesty, but it seems to work well!

Honestly for a first submission it's not too bad.
The Ability to swap between Rat and Bat Is actually kind of awesome especially when the Bat form drains blood to keep it going. Kind of a risk vs reward mechanic you have.

As for implementing the the limitation, I think you did a good job, having the vampirat (Clever name btw) shoot blood as either a bat or a rat to defeat the enemies was a good time. Although it does seem like when one dies they all kind of die? Regardless of where they were when they died.

AI seemed to just focus on walking to you regardless on where you were, like some just descended like they were floating when they should have been falling or just stood still in the air.

As well as the text showing your blood & health seemed to shake when in bat form, it was a bit distracting.

Other than that, I wish there was more of a level, seemed basic, but for your first submission, I think you did a good job! Keep it up!

Really fun puzzle game! It's all about counting out your steps and trying to follow the rules of the game. The limitation was added in really well, as an enemy's presence can ultimately decide if it was the right approach to the room or not.

Controls: Not that they're bad, but when I tried to use WASD I was thrown through a bit of a loop.

But ultimately really fun, and I could see you making a really difficult series of puzzles with this concept! You get 2 additional cookies.

I liked the game! I thought it was a fun short little romp escaping the vampire bat in an attempt to escape. Rocks are a nice obstacle to avoid especially when they begin getting numerous later on, Although more variety i.e. Larger rocks would have been nice.

The powerups are helpful, Except the Pickaxe which I have noted causes the rocks to fly either left or right, sometimes right underneath you slowing you down a bit. The Bible (Or Holy Book) keeping the bat away was cool, although I swear it got less potent as the game went on, which is not a complaint by any means. And the Sprint potion I feel like could have been longer duration for less speed, as I found myself running into rocks as soon as I picked it up.

Graphically it's a nice 8bit style, I do think the text is a bit illegible when it comes to certain characters however, ultimately I think it looks good, Rocks are easy to identify while also looking natural. Items are vibrant enough to spot.

Music can be a little bit repetitive, but overall fitting.

Anyway you did a great job on the game. I offer you one massive cookie to counter all the coffee.
