It seems that the weapon's collisions interferes with your own blood projectiles, and by doing so it is more difficult to defeat them. The player must aim for their bodies precisely instead.

The dropped blood being poisonous to the player is a good game mechanic though. There are more risks to the player as the blood's number builds up on the floor, therefore, the player must be careful and strategize where and when to kill certain enemies.

Overall, this could do some polish and can be expanded more. Good job!

Nice visuals overall and good work! The movement feels very slow and it's weird that the enemies completely block your shots with their weapons.

The vampire's movement was really sluggish and it could've used some sound effects. Other than that, not bad! You could really expand upon this concept.

good job, the only thing annoyed me was the movement, and the enemies being very difficult to kill I had to take about 5 shots to kill one in how much came a wave

Looked a bit zoomed in to me, might be the Browser I was playing on.

The Gameplay was simple and clean, the graphics were good.

The villagers always had their pitchforks aimed at me blocking my projectile, kind of making it hard to defeat them at points.

I do like the whole avoid your blood pool idea, but I feel like at no point they were a threat, since to me it seemed like they despawned by the time you would walk back into them. Kind of making the threat a moot point. I like the idea! Execution needed a bit of thinking, like maybe they throw blow in your direction as a last resort.

Thanks for comment. I should make the blood more lethal but can't think of anyway other than blood pools. Next time I'm gonna focus on balancing main mechanics more.

Good entry, theres some issues but nothing game breaking i think the vampire movement is abit "stuck in the mud" i like the bat mechanic, the hmtl rez is off but easy fix if you adjust the window size in itch. but overall its some Great work! well done!

Thanks! For making bat and vampire feel different I reduce vampire's speed but forget about mass , which cause this "stuck in mud" effect. I don't think about changing it during rating period , it will feels like cheating little bit.

Great effort! the pixel art is cute and the bat mechanics are fun.

For critiques, I think the vampire base movement feels a little slow/sluggish. I know the bat is supposed to rectify that, but the majority of the time is as a base vampire, so you want it to feel good. The villagers with pitchforks were way too hard to kill. I’m sure that was a design feature, but the pitchforks stick out so much that the overwhelming majority of my shots did nothing but hit the pitchfork. Some stats at the game over screen would be nice, maybe time survived or villagers killed. Finally, some sound effects and music would add a lot of polish.

Thanks for the critique! I should test my game more before submitting. Next time I'm gonna find someone to test and feedback during development. Most times my judgement over my own games is not enough because I was too focused on development and only able to see if things work or not rather then how enjoyable it is. This Jam given me a lot. Thanks to all the feedbacks.

Great game! The pixel art characters are very charming, and the mechanic of shapeshifting to a bat to be faster is very interesting. I thing one little change that can make this game 10 times better is to make everything faster, it would be much more dynamic. Keep it up man!

The enemies have too much health. The way to go about this is to either have an indication of their health or slowly introduce higher health enemies over time. I honestly thought the gun was broken XD

Thanks for playing. Since enemies dont have healthbar , I think it will be confusing for player that enemies start to take more hit at next level. I give enemies much health so they can gather and attack you as one group, which increase difficulty if you cant take down most of them at the beginning of each level.

It's a bit challenging because the enemies are so tanky. I had to go to bat form a lot to get away from enemies and maneuver away from blood obstacles. It was fun.

Thanks for feedback. I like challenging games so I tried to make mine hard too. Also for forcing player switch between fight and flee mods , this makes gameplay more dynamic.
