Thanks! I'll be sure to pass along your compliments to the artist.
Unfortunately the "win condition" was one of the things that went unfinished, so your inability to complete the game is no fault of your own. I might've remembered to change the dialogue to reflect that if we weren't cutting things so close to the deadline lol

Thanks! We're aiming to be finished before the deadline in next year's jam.

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it.

The pixel art and animations are top notch, the music is superb, the player attacks are satisfyingly snappy, the enemy AI has variety, the plot feels like it's ripped straight from an old school NES game, and the core mechanic receives full marks for creativity and fitting the theme. The fact that this was made in 48 hours is nothing short of outstanding.

I have very few critiques. The main character feels a little slow since I prefer faster-paced games with quicker player movement and enemies, but that comes down to personal preference. I also experienced a bug where one of the enemies walked off screen and couldn't be attacked until he walked back (although he could still shoot projectiles at me from off screen). Outside of that, I just wish there was more content. More enemies, and maybe some varied level design. Nothing that isn't immediately excused by the time constraints of the jam.

Full marks all around. Well done.

Incredible game! Very impressive. Reasonably tough as well, but that's probably partly because I tend to get greedy and try to rush.

Love the concept. Would like to see a full version where you get to pick some of the arrows between the nodes or maybe the direction that those arrows point.

Would like to see this idea with more polish and content. Very neat mechanic :)

Thanks for the speedy reply. Going to have to look into that, if for no other reason than to sate my curiosity.

Not many spooky games in this jam. This one definitely has a lot to offer in terms of atmosphere.

Very artistic game. Really want to see the concept explored further since I really relate to this.

Very entertaining game! Very glad I could help my boy Bruninho.

Going to have cone-filled nightmares though.

Thanks so much! Really wish I could've fleshed it out a little more and fixed some of the hitboxes, but there's always next time.

Definitely agree that this should be re-uploaded with a link to the re-upload posted on this page.

Really sorry to hear your submission got borked. Happens to the best of us.

Such an interesting core mechanic. Took me a minute to figure out who I even was lol
Definitely something worth developing further!

I like the sandwich collectibles!

Wish there was a little more content (and more sandwiches).

Very unique mechanic! I could definitely see this as an engaging puzzle game with a few tweaks.

Could use some kind of difficulty ramp to keep things interesting, but definitely a cute game with pleasant music to boot!

Superb all around. Would absolutely love seeing a full game made out of this.

I like the minimap. Good presentation.

Definitely enjoyed kicking bodies around and tossing guns.

Would like to see a more polished version in the future.

Congrats on completing your first jam!

Glad I was able to pass the fourth grade.
P.S. Bird bird bird bird bird bird bird bird.
