Very cute little game with nice aesthetics and sound design. Solid entry for a solo project.
Great job!
A very cute little game with very nice story and storytelling! Gameplay is innovative, yet nothing super immersive. But it fits the game perfectly. I enjoyed the little trip with Mortimer and felt my emotions kicking in. The game feels polished and complete, which is amazing.
Thank you for a nice time. I really enjoyed it. Great job!
Amazing game! I enjoyed every painful second of my playthrough within all the insane levels. It has a great flow and with the controller really feels like it has everything a platformer should have.
The only small thing is that I could really use some background music, but otherwise I can't think of anything to do better.
Great job!
Oh my oh my, I love this game! Seems very polished and complex for a GameJam game. Cool mechanics, cool ideas and great interpretation of the theme. I finished it and I had a blast! This is definitely in my top 3 games from this jam.
I only found the bug mentioned earlier by Lord Of Madness, but that is insignificant.
Great job!
It looks really great with some amazing ideas! Yet the gameplay is kinda not that engaging. The level design is pretty weird, because I couldn't get over a high wall, so I figured I need to be a frog, but then I got blocked by the coins above. After a while I saw a bat which seemed like a nice solution to my problem, but it controlled kinda weirdly and I accidentally died to spikes and never saw the bat again. Overall a nice looking game, but didn't feel that good to be played honestly. Still pretty impressive to finish something like this in UnReal in 48hrs, hats down.
Thanks <3 It's always great to hear that somebody like you likes our game :D Not as full of action as your game, but that's the beauty in variety :D
And for the 7 different games -> that's the key. If you don't know how to teamwork, just let every programmer do their own little game and then let the artist try to fit it all in one environment XD
It's really original and impressive for two people. But I really lacked the information about under what conditions the layout changes or if there are any rules at all. So, after a while it became just a random button clicker, but I understand that this isn't easy to figure out. It's actually a reason why our team didn't stick with a similar idea and instead moved to something else entirely.
But overall, a very funny game to have. I had good fun for a couple of minutes.
Gentlemen! I had loads of fun with this game! It's nicely done. I'm missing a few things, like end-game screen and durations of weapon pick-ups, and also sometimes my enemies just got stuck behind the spawn barrels and if they were outside the screen I was confused on why I don't progress.
But overall, the game has awesome feel and I really feel good playing it. The best things are the variations with the dark level for example and the sound design, that's awesome! (Good job J4kub0k)
I loved it! It's like the short term repeat kind of fun, but in that way it serves the purpose perfectly. I can see it being more polished, but hey, that's not the goal in 48h right? :D
Also it would be cool to have something to grind like on the outside loop. Since you lose all the stats every day and it seems like you don't get more time/faster gathering with more days, the game is losing on the overall goal of playing it.
Overall, nice idea, cool theme and atmosphere. I had my fun with it.
