My goal is to start my own studio in a year or so. Which is why i gave myself the goal of 1 a month to start sharp and always been Deving

100% Agree, but this is to meet my quote of 1 game a month minimum. Ive been a bit overwhelmed, so i figured lets try and do it as fast as possible. I still wait until the last minute. lol

glad you could get it to play!

I’ll look into the issues tonight, sorry I have been busy with work!

strange, I’ll try editing it at work.

What do you mean?

I will check the server when i get home. Sorry, its my first attempt at multiplayer. I learned alot, but its junky.

It does work! The biggest is reloading after the game loop finishes.

valid point, I had not attempted a multiplayer game prior to this. So it was more of an excuse to get my feet wet. I had thought of some solutions after posting the submission, but multiplayer was quite complex

did you ever get an answer for this? I’m currently working on something similar.

thanks!

Thanks! I thought the select screen would be a fun touch!

Ill do that, should i wait until after voting though? Don't wanna edit anything and get  DQ.

Thank you, this is my magnum opus

I wont confirm cookie cake, but i wont deny it.

Thank you, I felt like it was fishing 101 to refill beers

Thank you for playing and feedback

Awesome just post your discord name and ill reach out asap!

That was my goal for sure. I love Mario Kart, so i'm glad you can see that energy in it!

I have some experience with Jams, this year im doing one a month. I plan on using Godot 4, so anyone who wants to contribute. Feel free to reach out.

Thank you! I thought the select screen was a good touch. I was very proud of getting ti working!

thanks! I’ll keep that in mind!

Thank you!

Thanks for your critics! I'll definitely carry this over into future games! Ironically, the current game im working on helped me realize the power of Auto Loading for Global Variables, which would have made this game 100% easier to code up!

Thanks! That's kinda what we were going for actually! It's only my second game with Godot, so there are lost of small things I've learned from this project!

For Sure!

Do you mean the source code? I didn’t setup a GitHub. But I could post a downloadable file. Post Judging

Thank you! We had developed a bit more in the terms of gameplay, but Godot gave us trouble loading that portion of the game for some reason. Sadly, we didn't have time to figure it out and just scrapped it. Our group are all either new devs in general or new to Godot as a whole.  Hopefully, we can figure out the issue in the future!

I sent you a friend request. Mine is radmonkeii

Whats  your discord

thank you! I will take these notes down. Post scoring I’ll adjust the game. I’ll also apply these to future projects!

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll definitely try and clean up the game after the Jam is judged. More importantly, I’ll try and carry this advice to my next game!

Thanks!

I just wanted to confirm that a "Play in Browser" is fine for the submission process. I do have my design doc included. Also does it take time to show up in the submission list or does someone have to approve the game first? Sorry if this has been asked thank you!

Thanks, I believe you might have already had a piece picked up and didn't realize it, so other pieces of opposite colors won't pick up. Im gonna add some clarity for that and some music today / tomorrow.

I’m a programmer looking for some buddies to build a 2D game. I have a discord we can use for collaboration.

I’ll send you an invite

I’ll send you a discord request
