Nice! Managed to slay some enemies even with a trackpad! Super clean game, good work.

Thanks for playing our game! it was tough to find the right difficulty as another commenter stated they would have preferred the letters remain. If we had more time we would have added a difficulty setting where you could customise your experience, but I'm glad you enjoyed it the way it was!

We also discussed keyboard layouts and based on the time we had to keep it as QWERTY based. I'm hope if you were using another keyboard it still played ok!

8th place is very respectable indeed!

We did briefly speak about keyboard layout when we started this project, and it's definitely something that could be implemented for a range of keyboard layouts.

Thanks for your feedback and your positivity!

That's really great feedback. Definitely noted. The difficulty is something we spoke about in depth and this particular point came up a couple of times so thanks for sharing your thoughts on it.

Also thanks for the AI tips and the positive feedback on the aliens. I've been getting a lot more into art and like everyone been checking out some AI tools for inspiration so I appreciate the recommendations.

Did it get stuck on the intro screen saying 'press space to start? if so can you try refreshing the page? i tried on edge and mine didn't work, but after a refresh it seemed to.

I've just tested on Chrome and it works great. Much faster and more difficult!

I love the enemy movement. Would love to see some more types of enemies and unique movetypes.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but upgrades other than ammo and health (such as permanent increases or new weapons) would be extremely fun to create.

My only wish is that I can click on the upgrades rather than having to press keys.

Really nice work on this one mate, keep it up!

I am also colourblind so that first purple one really got me good.

Was considering what you said in another comment about a colourblind mode, you could perhaps make symbols that can be combined which I think would be cool.

Really well executed game. I definitely ended up just spamming a bunch of different colours towards the end, not sure what the best strategy is! Super responsive and refined. Nice work

I'm not sure if it was just my browser but the game was running at about 10fps? Everything was extremely slow and I definitely felt like it was meant to be moving faster.

I'm using Safari on an M1 Macbook Pro.

I really enjoyed it even when it was slow, gave me some Brotato vibes for sure. Happy to try it again if there's a fix for the FPS!

I think this had a lot of potential! Love the 8bit soundtrack. It was abstract and purple.

I like the bit where the cats at the snacks.

I got bapped many times.

Hey man good question, and thanks for asking before rating.  The background, the image of the cowboy walking into the bar, and the 'death-screen' (leaderboard screen) are AI-gen, however, the cards and every other asset have been hand drawn and animated (on Procreate) using a few references from both image searches and AI. The intro, the boss cutscene, and the final cutscene are all hand drawn, and animated using Procreate and Final Cut.

The music is all originally composed using assets from Splice and put together using Logic Pro.

The background was just a placeholder at first then kinda just got forgotten about.

We also used chatgpt to generate the basis for the description then edited it.

I hope this helps you rate our game. Thank you for playing it!

Oh really? What browser were you trying to use?

I can see you've already had quite a lot of feedback for this game after the Nokia submission so I'll keep it short. Super well executed, super clean. Well done!

Man I really enjoyed this. Reminds me so much of Dope Wars from back in the day. My ship got absolutely obliterated on every journey I went to which was a bit frustrating, I would have liked to trade a bit more before the travelling got too intense. Other than that I dig it!

I really like this. You fit so much into such a tiny game. There is depth, and progression, and challenge all within a small amount of pixels. Really suits the Nokia Jam and the Minigame Jam. Well done man I would have loved to have this game on my 3310.

A well thought out, complex, well executed game. Love the music - I'm currently now listening to your soundcloud.

Took a while to find my way around the interface but you've made an interesting, unique puzzle-solving experience. Kudos!

I got to 65 but my keyboard was not happy about this game.

Haha I enjoyed it!

I absolutely love the music and how finding new friends introduces new layers to it. I'd love to see this in an art installation somewhere where the game is projected on an entire room!

I agree with LowQualityRobin's comment about the tutorial.

Nice work!!!

Super interesting little take on 3D Tetris. The UI was well made and it felt quite polished even on a trackpad. Nice!!

I love this! Super chaotic energy through the soundtrack and gameplay. Such a cool idea to try and drink and time throws to be accurate. I also really dig the art style. I'm also a sucker for rogue likes. And I like the name (similar to ours!). Great job man!

I was a little confused as to what was going on with the story and what I was supposed to be doing. I think with a little bit more UI perhaps and some music it could be a banger!

I really like this as a training tool. It's polished and super clean with some interesting mechanics. Reminds me of old school cd-rom games I used to play!

Yeah we didn’t know what to classify it as, action puzzle is probably the closest? Thanks for the feedback !

Thank you Nescau, we appreciate you playing our game and for the feedback.

Haha yeah we love a good challenge but still trying to find the balance. There's not a save function per se, but you can skip forward a level with the ] button. I would get through the tutorial first before you skip levels first if you want the music to play. I hope this helps, and I hope you can finish the game!

Thanks so much for playing our game and for your lovely feedback!

Although we weren't able to implement the set rotation concept, we did release a patch that adjusted some of the hit-boxes as well as include clock hands that indicate which level you are on (as they get closer towards midnight). If you get a chance to play again would love to see what your thoughts are on the patch!

I’m really glad you enjoyed the challenge. We played it for so long that we got quite good at controlling the gears (even still, the final level took us 10-15m to finish). I also understand in a game jam like this most people don’t have time to play for ages and the challenge might be off putting. I guess it’s about finding that balance. Thanks so much for playing!

Hey thanks for the feedback! We tried to make a game that was difficult but rewarding. I’m glad you enjoyed the level of difficulty, it seems it was a bit too much for other players.

We were thinking of releasing a patch which reduced hit boxes and easier levels, so I’m glad that the multiple spirit levels were appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback leking502!

Hey I love this idea! We had something similar in the stretch goals but never got to that point. The only visual cue was that on the final level the exit chute was bigger and glowing. I think for a punishing game like this it's important that the players know where they're up to so will definitely take that feedback on board and try to implement it into the next one.

We also spoke a lot about the controls, the set rotations is another really interesting idea and would have made the game much more 'puzzle' rather than more action based; would have been really fun to test a bit more to find the optimum experience.

Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback.

Hey nasroDev thanks so much for your feedback! We talked a lot about the difficulty of this game and we wanted something that seemed easy at first but took some time to master. The hitboxes were aimed to be spot on, minus a few pixels, to provide some relief, but it sounds like we should have made it slightly more forgiving based on yours and other feedback. Thanks for the taking the time to play!

Ayyyy sorry ! That's awesome!! I stand corrected, the music is dope!

Great start to a game! Would like to see this further developed. Main character looks great.

I agree with some of the other comments; really great concept and some slight QoL tweaks would have made the overall experience slightly more efficient. I also love the art styl, SFX and  the music. Great work!

Super simple and addictive. It says you're a musician programmer - I would have loved some music in it! I liked the fact that there was an element of patience that I needed, as the coloured balls wouldn't always do what I wanted them to. Not sure if that was present in the original but it was a nice touch.

Love the graphics and the aesthetic. Even just a touch of music would have been really nice. Also some feedback when pressing the buttons to symbolise that a worker has been bought would have saved me some confusion, or even just a price tag! But all in all, lovely game and great concept.

A lovely experience. Peaceful and clear on what to do. Will never get tired of hearing my points go up. Cities Skylines in the making!

Super awesome! Love the audio. Great concept - I cheered when I saved my first ship. Really great work!
