Relaxing game for sure 10/10 would play again

I did not understand what I needed to do :(

I found that the ghost can go on forever, should be a boundary gameobject that resets the ghost...

It is a bit much to download so much for this. I do like the FX sounds though a bit more time on background and materials would go a long way...

Could not shoot for some reason... nice spawn manger though

The clipping kind of threw me out of the game, when I first died the game stopped. For me that ended the fun...

I could not figure out how to crouch so I got stuck pretty early. Would have like to see a person/sorcerer  coming to give me a tale first instead of dyeing right away...  NIce job.

I had a lot of fun playing, nice job on mixing up the different stages.

I really liked it, has a nice overall color pallet.   I played a few time and enjoyed that the obstacles changed. Lots of potential here...

I like the little laser line you made, look like that took a minute to get right.

Thanks

The player controller was my own bad coding... I was attempting to learn more about player moment code instead of a off the shelf one.  It needs some work. Though there is fish food you can eat to get bigger and the goal is still to attempt to find all the keys.  (A fun feature I added at the end was the bubbles will raise up the fish if you swim though them.)

A controls button should be added and a little more work on the fish controller. I always seen UI at the beginning of the game and thought why not just have the game scene be the UI. I'm sure it has been tried before. The plan was to add a little ant that would start crawling around the table looking for keys as well.

I had less time then I wanted on it so it definitely needs some work on UI. The fish player controller was being difficult...  Thanks for playing

Ya I tried to do the fish player controller on my own, taught me a lot about movement coding (including rotations). I agree it could be improved.

I think a lot of great game play mechanics can be developed in a game jam. This type of underling work can be more then a enough to catapult a game into a paid game. Honesty, with enough continued effort many games could make the transition. Selfish plug incoming, here is what I have submitted to the jam...

Please leave feedback as this is my first Jam and my most polished game so far.  https://docdoc116.itch.io/afterlife-keys

For me that is not a issue, I'm solely here to get better at game making. I have a busy week and weekend so I have summitted already.  I do think that a bit more time I could flesh out the game mechanic.  It could be a cool to turn it into a "find as many keys as possible".  Though it already has taught me a lot that I needed to know.  I will be joining more game jams in the future.  Selfish plug... feedback is welcome ---  https://docdoc116.itch.io/afterlife-keys

Make sure to leave enough time so you are not stressed with submitting, it seems they are ok with hot fixes..

Wow, that is quite similar. I will be sure to give yours a go...

Thanks! it took some work to get there...

I have a busy week ahead so I went ahead and summitted the game. It has a few mechanics, two mini games, and a puzzle element. I spent much of the time on lighting and getting a simple shader I made to do more then it should...  It you guys/girls could check it out and leave feedback as this is my first Jam and most polished game so far.  https://docdoc116.itch.io/afterlife-keys

I have submitted already as I have a pretty busy week. That being said, self-Care for me is making sure to still get a good 7-8hours of sleep and I powered though alot this weekend. Just some polishing was added today. Feel free to check it out and play  https://docdoc116.itch.io/afterlife-keys

I have been putting a good amount of effort. I work during the week and will have less time so I have a good start, so far the game contains two mini games and UI that works with it. All assets were free or designed by me.  I spent quite a bit of time on the opening scene. More game mechanics/story need to be added to make it fun.  Got some core mechanics in  it going.  Below is a sneak peak, and a WIP as I had to redo some because I found the mesh collider...
