Thanks for playing and well done for effectively finishing the game. Looks like there's an issue with that section, it's supposed to start scrolling again once you defeat the spinny thing:)

Thanks for playing. We didn't really get much time for playtesting in the end so it's great to get comments like this so we can go back and improve it:)

Such a great idea and really well executed! I really wish I were more skilful so I could experience the full story and all the abilities. Fantastic art work, music, and sound effects. It's so satisfying to hear the pop when you destroy the enemies, and the particle effects are just perfect.

A very unique, sound and visual experience. As you said in your blog, it may not be what most would consider a 'game', but you certainly satisfy the theme of the jam. Well done!

Well done guys! You totally nailed the theme of the jam and came away with a great fun little game.

Well done! I feel like it could be the start of an interesting game.

I like the idea and you've done well to get the two dimensions to work together, unfortunately it's not always in sync and I found myself being transported into walls sometimes. Still, well done for putting it together.

Congrats on finishing your first jam!

A cool fun game. I love the twist on the endless runner to fit the theme. Nice music as well, I wish my reactions were quick enough to enjoy the full song:)

Really fun little game here. Simple mechanics done well. The music was really cool too. I found myself moving the shields around to the beat of the tune! Great work peeps:)

Heading over to try your game now. here's mine ... https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2023/rate/2091802

Really nicely done! Also getting some Fez vibes here. Love the droid. Must have been fun to make

Thanks for trying it :)

Thanks for playing:)

Thanks for playing, and well done for getting to the end (almost). I agree with you about the pixel size difference, definitely would like to find better matching environments, wasn't so easy with the time available. Good idea for the shooting too

Thanks for playing, and for your kind comments :)

Really nice graphics. Well put together game. I guess if you're thinking of developing it more, you might want to introduce some exploration

Ok, cool, finished it :)

Thanks mate. I tried your game, and I really like the concept, I just can't figure out how to make the jump!

I love the idea of the game. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to make the first jump

A nice little fun game to play. Well put together:)

Nice little game. A really smooth experience. And fits perfectly with the theme of the jam

I really love the effect of dying, and it's really fun to take out multiple drones at once. With a bit of tweaking to the controls and movement it could be a really fun game. Keep going with it :)

Love the effects on death

Nice little puzzles mate. Well put together:)

Nice little puzzle game, well done:)

Hey, I'm a bit concerned we might have made our game too difficult.

Please, try it out and let us know if you manage to beat it

Thanks for playing buddy, really appreciate your comments. We'll be looking to make the learning curve a bit nicer to traverse in a future update:)

Congrats on completing

A nice twist made it surprisingly difficult!

Love the puns! Impressed that you managed all the artwork and music in a week. Could do with tweeking the player movement (seems a bit sluggish when not dashing) and the camera view is maybe a little too wide

Nicely put together

Good effort:)

Thanks for playing:)

Thanks for playing. Glad you liked it:)

Thanks for playing, and for your comments. The light shining through some of the walls was a bug which I've since managed to fix and will update once the jam has finished. Although I would have liked to make some improvements on the art side, the main aim of the game was to create a scary experience from the things you can't see, so I'm glad you appreciated the audio :)

Nice work with the ethereal plane! I thought there was an issue with the player sprite's facing direction until I found the sword

Good job! Gave me goosebumps!

Start locations are random each time you play. I wanted to make more maps but didn't have time in the end
