How does you game fit the theme?
While playing "hide and seek" and looking for your friends you get an unnerving sense that "You are not alone!"
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, credits for things I didn't do myself are on the game's main page

reawlly neat game, I hate (love) that you have to walk to see in the direction.. creates the need to walk towards the scary things
The game was kinda fun especially with how the rooms were design with corners that could hide both the monsters and the hiders.
More horror games in game jams is great, but this could really use some off putting pixelart and grotesque monster design. The audio and game menu really sells the creep though. Lastly it would be much more intense if something was following you throughout your seeking, or yknow there are times where you are actually a hider yourself, and have to avoid something seeking you.
Also not sure whether the flashlight would shine through the walls of the other room, because it would reveal a littllee bit of the room and sometimes spoil the hider and monsters waiting there, which allowed me to cheese the hard difficulty setting. Other than that, some improvements would greatly help.
Thanks for playing, and for your comments. The light shining through some of the walls was a bug which I've since managed to fix and will update once the jam has finished. Although I would have liked to make some improvements on the art side, the main aim of the game was to create a scary experience from the things you can't see, so I'm glad you appreciated the audio :)
On easy difficulty I found the friends before seeing a single ghost. Also I wonder if the levels are generated or you just had created a bunch and random through them? Great game tho!
Start locations are random each time you play. I wanted to make more maps but didn't have time in the end
Just your average horror game.
The audio was pretty good, the tension of something possibly lurking in the dark was awesome. Something I would recommend is maybe making the corridors wider and the flashlight be able to illuminate the area more.
Loved the grid movement but the one directional lights were too limiting for me. Had fun good job!
I wouldn't say the scariest, but it was super fun. Nice job. the audio was awesome. Very immersive
I like it! gave me goosebumps the first few times, but then i got familiar with it. I really like concept that we can be both Hunter and get Hunted by. Creepy atmosphere
not scary enough to me. you need a scary death screen bro
I liked this one! The duality of being both the Hunter and hunted really made playing this interesting, and you have done a great job with the sound design, really creepy and atmospheric.
Good job!
A neat concept, great work.
