I had a similar idea at first, a rule following horror game, I like this a lot. The visuals are great, the mix of 2d and 3d id done really well. One thing though which might be a problem on my end but still reporting it to you just in case, the game did make my pc cooling fans go wild.

Amazing game! Cute art style, sound effects and satisfying gameplay, very nice and polish entry!

Thank you for playing! All the progress resets once the timer runs out, but I failed to make it more intuitive it seems.

This is the only 5/5 on everything game I've played so far. That was incredibly fun and well executed, hoping to see you in the top 100!

Hey, thanks for playing and for the kind words! And yes we did come up with all the titles. We split them up between three devs who knew English and went at it (in fact all but 28 of them were created in the 12 hours before the jam's deadline so I didn't get any sleep that night).

I looove the art style and the music. I wasn't exactly sure if it's better to send a clear one word messages like "rescue" or add more like "quick rescue cactus" haha. But I see the point and I very much like it, a unique interpretation and a very polished experience.

What a gem! The first thing is the art, it's unique and nice looking, well done! The game itself is fun, it takes some getting used to but hey all games need some time to learn them. The music is good as well!

Haven't played the game you mentioned but I'll definitely check it out :) Thanks for the kind words!

The visuals look great, very unique look. But at the same time they're a bit confusing to navigate with so many nodes being highlighted at the same time. Music is pretty cool although a bit loud. Overall an interesting take and good implementation!

That was a fun one, good job! It does feel like that sometimes.. Cute art style and an interesting concept!

I love the premise and the cute drawings, it's quite funny. The controls felt a bit floaty but other than that I liked it a lot. Nice job!

Simply amazing. The jam games often have nice art, unique ideas but rarely do they have engaging gameplay. And your game does, the combat and movement feel very satisfying, good variety of enemies and nice difficulty progression. The boss fight is very good too, both of the attacks are well telegraphed.

I also like how the game doesn't punish you too much, you just rewind and go again, very refreshing.

Great entry!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I'll fix those issues when the jam's over.

First of all thank you for playing! Also thanks for the good kind of feedback, I see how the game could be improved.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed!

Notes taken, thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. The main and only mechanic here is to come up with clickbates and do it quickly, the fun part is supposed to be reading the absurd titles you came up with in a hurry. I can see how that's not for everyone. Thanks for complementing on the visuals!

That might be because you don't hit publish after clicking on subject and then on action, or you don't do it all on time, you have only 5 seconds to choose both and hit publish (by clicking the big "publish" button or by pressing "space").

I don't know what you did with the perspective there but it works! And the movement is so smooth too. My favorite game from this jam so far!

Thanks!

Great game! Very polished and interesting to play. Clever main mechanic too! The only thing I'd add is WASD controls, otherwise a perfect entry 5/5.

First of all than you for playing and for your feedback, I really appreciate it! Yeah I wanted to fix all that, but was already too late with the submission.

This is a gem. Cute art, chill music and I like how clean the game is, very easy to pick up too. Great entry, 5/5 from me!

Thank you for playing! Yeah I was a bit lazy with the game loop.

Very cute game, I enjoyed it!

I think that's because you're too close to walls so it thinks you're trying to repair it. My bad no telegraphing it well enough. Thanks for playing though!

Amazing entry! Beautiful and crisp game.

What a beauty! I liked the art and sound but that mechanic where you can launch yourself farther, that was just perfect. Fits the theme too, 10/10 from me.

If you don't mind I'd discuss it further on Discord, a little bit more convenient. My discord - max_wren feel free to add me!

Hi! We've already found someone for this jam but we'll also be participating in the upcoming Brackeys jam which starts in 15 days. Would be happy to have you for that one.

I've got a lot to say about this game.

First of all, great retro visuals, you've nailed that.

The movement and combat are smooth, though I had some major freezes but only when something was loading in.

Music and sound effects are simply beautiful (especially when you enter the second room with lots of creatures and some rock starts playing, hell yeah!)

One thing I don't know if it was intended, but the best strategy to survive is to lure 1 or 2 creatures to you and hold some tight space, when the game looks more like it was made to kill these things by hundreds with no concern for one's safety.

All in all it's a great game and it fits the theme nicely.

Extremely satisfying! Very clean visuals and controls. Besides that I like your level design, some clever choices there.

I love this! I always enjoyed automation in games, playing as the engineer class, etc. You've got a solid foundation that could be built upon into a fun game. Fits the theme, looks nice, great job!

We currently have a designer/programmer and 2 artists. Looking for someone who can produce simple music and sound effects for this jam (think Streets of Rogue, Core Keeper, etc). You don't have to be good but you have to enjoy making games!

Awesome game! I like the movement and sound-design the most.

(1 edit)

Thanks for playing! Yeah the main menu as well as many other things weren't finished on time (as wasn't the game itself lol). Anyway glad you liked it!

Awesome game! Will be using it to practice typing

That was fun, keep at it!

Interesting idea and a good implementation of it. The shake on destroying walls is a little bit too strong :D But yeah, good job overall!
