How does the game fit the theme?
Because you foolishly try to feed zoo animals human food, since nothing can go wrong.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All the pictures are cutouts from historical books and paintings. All in the public domain. I also reused some code to search files in Godot.

The theme here is really unique, ended up losing my hands during my first try haha. I did enjoy the music and thought it went well with the game overall.
im a really big fan of this - the system is well thought out, pretty goofy in a good way, and runs well in browser. great work.
The visuals on this are great. And the music was fantastic. I like the premise but I had a bit of trouble figuring out what to actually do. I thought I always had to put food on the plate, it wasn't until I came here and saw other people's comments that I realized you could feed it directly to the animals if they didn't need a recipe. Since I was cooking everything I kept turning two copies of a particular ingredient into garbage, which the animals seemed to like fine. But that seemed strange while playing. In retrospect I see it's because I was making bad recipes with the two identical ingredients.
Couldn't stop cackling, this game was hilarious. Ending up with 3-4 hands was so funny, and the absolute SIZE of the rat made me scream. Extremely silly, goofy, but fun game. The comic at the beginning was great, and I adored the cutout-style art, it looked great. I only have a few things I think could be improved: it would be nice to see recipes in-game or otherwise be better able to reference them without also having the itch page open. I'm okay with them being in a sub-menu or whatever so it's not super easy to remember all the animals. The game also takes a really long time to load. It would also be nice to be able to take ingredients off of the plate when you put the wrong thing on, or even just be able to see what you previously put on the plate, or dispose of ingredients so you don't have to put it on the plate when you grab the wrong thing. Other than those small quirks, I genuinely enjoyed this quite a bit!
Loved the concept and the story. Found it a bit difficult to tell what animal was which and it was hard to remember the recipes, but I enjoyed my time nonetheless
I like the comic, and it’s a neat premise for a game. I wasn’t sure how to combine items as first. I think it would help to have the recipes visible in the game as well.
Grew a third and fourth hand, fed poop to a unicorn. 10/10
The soundtrack helps make this feel frantically insane, and the very well drawn comics frame it nicely!
I lost a few times before winning, because it took me a moment to figure out
Once I knew that it was pretty smooth sailing, although I fed the tiger a lot of junkfood, I hope it's gonna be ok.
You must have been real good if you were regrowing hands!
What a gem! The first thing is the art, it's unique and nice looking, well done! The game itself is fun, it takes some getting used to but hey all games need some time to learn them. The music is good as well!
Great game but a bit confusing
Funny game, I agree with the feedback you have gotten thus far. Nevertheless great job!
The visuals are funny and I liked them, however remembering the recipes is pretty hard as others have mentioned.
I also think that the game could use an options menu to change the music volume.
It's difficult to remember the recipes. Maybe that's part of the point, but I did not find it particularly enjoyable. I guess at the end of the day the game is about being a race against time, or at least that's what the music conveys.
Music sounds quite interesting, interesting idea. I like the starting "cutscene"
Music is the Flight of the Bumblebee performed by the US Army Band
There are some strange animals at the zoo, and they sure are hungry. Solid idea of remembering recipes for matching with animals. Good work!
I wish it ramped up and slowly introduced more animals and recipes i kept losing so fast not even knowing what some of the animals were, that is the strangest dog i done ever seen. I love the idea though
Nice! try my game if you can!
Nice! love the idea, took me some time to learn the recipes :)
