This really captures the essence of Legos! The music is inspiring and freeing - invoking a creative spirit that comes from building anything with those little bricks. I love how you structured it as well.. building in bite sized increments that populate the little area making it so easy to see your world come to life. It's quite beautiful. Well done!!

+1 for the graphics, even in the web build the reflections really capture the plasticky nature of legos. I too am very bad... i need to take some rhythm classes lol. Well done though! Thanks for bringing a unique take to this theme!

thanks for playing! I totally agree; with some adjustments and A LOT of polish I think this could be a great couch coop experience

Thanks for submitting a game! Are you able to make a web build?

Fantastic job - i know it's no easy feat getting the blocks to line up perfectly and not intersect. Well done making that happen! The camera mode is also a great touch. This game feels like legos - or loge's :) -at its purest!

What an adorable addition to this jam, very well done! It's simple, polished, and functions great on web. I almost cried for the little lego...

Some game engine text editors might have it. you could also download fonts that are already like that. At the very least you could create a blank image and turn it into a line by adjusting its width and height, then put it right over the text

Thanks for participating in the jam! I love the menu design - it's very playful and unique (perfect for a lego theme). Well done with the snappy block placement too! Great job to both of you!

Wow, what a great way to approach this theme! It's perfectly simple, satisfying and addicting. Your animation is really nice and fits well within this 2d lego world. Perfectly executed 10/10 i had a blast!

Visit the front page to see the theme, download assets, and get to work! Have fun!

Hey y’all, the discord link is live. Feel free to come on by and chat with fellow gam devs. Get a sneak peak at the theme as well, the jam starts in 2 days! https://discord.gg/3CaPbdme

Yes I personally use unity

I’m glad the jam theme inspired you, don’t let the jams end discourage you from finishing your game! I know how hard it can be when you want everything to work perfectly and be up to your expectations. When you’re finished, send the link!

Very creative idea! I come across a lot of Daves on my daily commute, and this is ironically hilarious haha. Don't be fooled, this is the perfect amount of features and polish for a game made in this short of time, very well done!

Nvm lol i beat him

Update: 10 minutes in. There is only darkness and despair. I have been defeated by this boss an incalculable amount of times. When his health is low i can taste victory, but it is merely an illusion. Any glimpse of hope is ripped from my hands and i am left with the bitter sadness of failure. When i close my eyes all i see is his red halo burned into my mind. I don't think i can go on...

Well done! it took me a second to realize i damage the boss by using the environment, which is very clever and creates for very simple but satisfying gameplay. Also, great job implementing the three stages!

if you didn’t quite submit your game in time, don’t worry! Just follow these steps and I’ll help you:

1. Upload your game to your itch page.

2. Send me a link to the game you’d like to submit.

3. I’ll send you a link where you can choose that game for submission.

Thanks to everyone who participated this month, I hope to see you again next month!

that’s quite an undertaking! Wishing you the best with your game and learning journey, and excited to see what’s possible with JavaScript!

Hi TRPLX, thanks for participating in the game jam!

Since this game jam caters to folks who don’t have much time, I want to help you in any way I can. Itch allows for late entries, so whenever you are finished with your game 1. simply upload to your itch page as normal 2. Send me the URL link to the game’s page. 3. I’ll send you a link that allows you to submit that game to this jam even after the deadline!

This jam is all about stress free, no crunch, unfiltered creativity. All while keeping your weekend mostly open!

With less than 2 days left to submit your projects, things might be getting a bit tense. But don’t worry, jam games aren’t supposed to be perfect! Do your best, and learn along the way. Thats all that matters! Good luck Jammers!

The expected theme this month is:

The Big Bad Boss

In this month’s jam, use your current or old boss that may have not been your favorite as inspiration for making a single boss battle game. 1 room, 1 boss. Feel free to also draw inspiration from family, friends, political characters or whomever else instead of a boss. For bonus points, make this boss have 3 stages based on its health (or any other depleting metric.)

If you have any suggestions, concerns, or otherwise, feel free to comment below.

Hello and welcome to the first weeknight jam hosted by duo legend games! I hope that this jam serves you well in releasing that inner creativity, something many of us struggle to find the chance to do.

This jam is short, but purposeful. Do your best in the time you have. Remove any and all stress and just go where your mind takes you. Thanks for being a part of this months jam and stay tuned for a sneak peek of the upcoming theme!

thanks for playing! I had a blast playing your submission ☄️😁

Thanks so much for giving it a go! With all the putt putt mini games out there already, I wanted to try something a little different, and a bit more relaxing ( unlike mini golf sometimes lol )

I really hope my game is nowhere near as rip-out-your-hair frustrating as getting over it is haha.. As gamers we’re encouraged to get the highest score possible, so I must say you did exceptionally well in that regard 😂 Thank you for playing through!

thanks for playing! I totally agree with the restart, it was on the bucket list but I didn’t get to it with the time crunch 🥲. Maybe in a future version!

thank you so much for taking the time to try something outside your primary interests, and I’m so glad you enjoyed it! As a recreational golfer I can say from experience that golf is sometimes not so relaxing and other times it’s just infuriating lol. It was nice to contradict that for my own sanity 😂

Thank you so much for playing!

scores are just numbers, it’s all about the experience … and getting over 100 is impressive in its own way 😂 thank you for playing!

Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks for taking the time to play! I showed my partner your game the other day and my god was it fun. 4 thumbs up from us!

So you have found the secret sauce to getting birdies huh? Well done haha and thanks for playing!

Choosing the appropriate buttons for the level is absolutely brilliant, and a great way to take complete advantage of this jams theme. Very well done

Kind of random but that 8 bit pirate sea shanty is probably my favorite background track of any game i've played in this jam lol

Allowing the player to choose their buttons at the beginning is just chef's kiss. Very well done. I keep seeing these awesome games made in godot and i am getting ready to pack up my unity bags and toss em in the garbage lol

One question. How on earth did you make an RTS in 72 hours!! lmao

Really neat and the left and right arrows for the rocket boosters is such a good idea. Plays very well. Can you make a version where your goal is to smash into objects, because i couldn't stop hitting everything lol

Very cool and well made game and i didn't even want to smash my computer after i died lol. I have one serious gripe though, and it's less with the game and more with WHO THE HECK GOT OVER 3500???!!!
